Best purchase ever
I use this daily as I awake in the dark come home in the dark and work in room with no windows. Really boosts my mood. The remote is the best part!

Scandinavian simplicity with options (just don't lose the remote)
The media could not be loaded. This lamp makes a lovely addition to a nightstand, nursery, office or living room. It could even fit on a bookshelf (its footprint is almost exactly that of a DVD and it's 8" high) but it does need to be plugged into the wall or a power-strip to work. The cord that comes with it is around 55" long but you can add an extension cord. You can turn it on and off manually, but if you wish to adjust the light level or temperature or set the timer you need to use the remote. Do not lose it! I like the simplicity of the lamp's design–the round blonde wood base has a Scandinavian vibe–and operation: there are 3 light temperatures (Warm, Cool and Nature) and 4 levels of brightness*. I don't use the Cool White - it gives me slight nausea and a head ache, but I'm highly sensitive to LEDs and am perfectly fine with the other 2 temperatures. There are 4 timer settings (10, 30, 60 and 90 minutes) and remote is easy to figure out. The slim remote works from several yards away and comes with a pre-installed CR 2025 battery that should last for years and is easily replaced. The base of the lamp has a 5 Volt USB-A port for charging your phone, etc. I haven't tried it yet, it might come in handy some day.*Sorry - in my video, I may have said that there are 3 levels of light. I had other lights on in the room at the time and couldn't quite distinguish the difference among the 4 (25%, 50%, 75%, 100%) that's more evident in a darker environment.

Brightens my office
This light makes me feel like I’m outside, even though I’m not close to a window. Bring on the sunshine!

Great for dreary days
Bought this for my husband who works from home in an office space that doesn’t receive the best natural lighting. He uses this lamp all the time and says that it does help with his mood as he is affected by seasonal depression.

Nice, simple full-spectrum light
I was very excited to find a full-spectrum lamp that doesn’t look so clinical. I struggle with seasonal depression, so I look forward to this lamp helping me get through the winter. But it blends well with most decor and doesn’t stand out as a “SAD” light. What I don’t care much for is that the remote is required to fully operate the light. Of course the remote is probably the selling point for a lot of people, and it is a nice feature, but I do wish there were more controls on the lamp itself (remotes tend to vanish at my house!). The lamp can turn on and off by touching the front of the base, so that’s a plus. However, the brightness, timer, and type of light can only be controlled with the remote. The actual light coming from the lamp is lovely. You can choose warm, cool, or natural. They’re all nice, but I mainly stick with natural. It best mimics natural sunlight and is the most helpful with my moods. You can set a timer or you can just power it on and leave it on until you turn it off. You can also dim or brighten the light, depending on how much you need or what time of day it is. These are all cool features that weren’t always available for lights like this. The lamp itself is attractive with a simple wooden base and a rounded, egg-shaped light fixture. I think it’s very nice looking, simple but elegant.I look forward to enjoying this lamp throughout the long fall and winter, and I hope to feel great because of it.

Great light for small spaces
When it gets to the dreary winter months here in Kansas, I wanted to find a good light that I could keep in my office, that I could use as a "light therapy" lamp. This is perfect! I have posted 3 pictures - if you look at the wall behind the light, you can see the 3 different hues that this lamp has. The last one, which has a bluish white tint to me, is my favorite. And in addition to being able to change the color hue, you can also dim each of them, and there is also a timer function on the remote, so it could be used as a nightlight. I tried to take a picture of the light when it was dimmed, but the picture didn't really capture it very well. I love that I have this remote, so I can just reach over and switch on my lamp when my office starts to get a little on the dreary side. I spend most of my day under fluorescent lights, and sometimes I just have to turn off my overhead light and use my lamp. It calms and relaxes me, even when I am sitting in front of my computer. Plus, it reminds me of a Conehead (from the old SNL, when it was funny!)
