Seventh Generation was bought by Unilever last year. Unilever is on the list of companies that tests on animals. As a long time vegan who seeks cruelty free, vegan products and companies, it is sad to see a company like Seventh Generation bought by a company like Unilever. It is deceptive of them to list their products as "not tested on animals". Maybe the Seventh Generation line isn't, but the fact that it is under the umbrella of Unilever opens the door for them to do just that, test Seventh Generation products on animals, and people will not know. I will not purchase Seventh Generation anymore.

The first ten or so I tried to use were just flat sheets of plastic after spending a half hour trying to unfold them. They were not sealed at the edges. I finally gave up and threw the remainder in the trash in a better brand bag.

I used to buy these online from a different company. Boxes of 50 bags. We prefer the bags with the drawstring. But - that company stopped offering these bags. I searched and found the best price on Amazon. Sure - I bought LOTS -- but the per bag price was the best and they'll last me for a very long time. We normally use just one bag per week.

We love these trash bags. We like the convenience of having them delivered to our house when we need them. The price of these bags on Amazon.com is about 1/2 the cost in the supermarket or healthfood store, if you can find them. We like to use recycled plastic and paper products whenever possible, and I feel that recycled trash bags and toilet paper are a great avenue to accomplish this end. These bags seem to be plenty stong enough for our method of trash disposal; we don't stuff these bags full, we don't use them for yard work, we just fill them and take them to the larger trash can outside, they seem to work really well for this use.

Almost everytime we take out the trash we end up rebagging all the trash that ripped through the bottom of the first bag. Even double bagging is not a guarantee that a blow-out will not occur. YUCK! It's so frustrating, not to mention, such a waste to have to double bag everytime. We will not be buying these again, but somehow need to find a way to use all 12 boxes. Suggestions???

They aren't as strong as the Hefty bags I switched from, but I don't feel as guilty on trash day - I'd rather use recycled plastic bags than regular ones. I use these in my big garage trash can and, really, they aren't THAT flimsy - I don't want to make them sound like anything more than a tissue will tear it. They can handle regular weekly loads, you just can't drag them over broken glass on the way to the curb - usually I will dump all my house trash into the garage trash can, carry the can to the curb, and only then knot the trash bag, pull it out, and lay it gently down for pickup. As always, I had no problems with Amazon packing and shipping - they seem to have it down to an art now.~ Ana Mardoll

Great packaging. Perfect box size.

These are great if you're looking for something basic with a conscience. I'm having trouble finding anything with stretch like a Glad Bag/flex would have. This would get 5 stars if I could get something stretchier.
