The title said it all.

Purchased the 10-pack on 05-22-2024 for $18.99.These are SATURATED with silicone oil. (Yes, silicone, with an "e.") For my liking, it has way too much oil.Sure, it's better than having too little, but there's so much that whatever you're wiping down or cleaning is left WET with a glistening layer of oil.For long-term storage, that wet layer may work fine, but for maintenance wiping of items that you use daily or regularly, it's a bit much. If you don't de-slipperize (made-up word) by removing the excess oil with a dry cloth, whatever you just wiped down is an unmanageable greased pig.They're so wet that even the outside of the individual, plastic pouches has gotten oily from oil leaching through the plastic.The question that I do have is with the quality of the silicone oil. Will it hold up long-term after it's applied without becoming smelly and discolored? Don't know. But for short-term application, it should be fine.Don't get me wrong, I like these, but too much oil is too much oil. When I use these, I have to wear plastic/latex gloves to prevent my hands from becoming a greasy mess.Useful, but messy.

These gun wipers seem to be a quality build. They are quite oily and lint free. Worth the time and effort to secure some in my opinion. only issue is what type of oil are the rags saturated with?

Much better quality than I expected, each cloth in individual resealable bags, all bags in a resealable pack. When they say silicone coated, they were not freaking kidding, I would have been happy with 1/3 that amount. First couple items I wiped down almost looked wet from the amount. I didn't try to wring it out but the thought crossed my mind.Absorbency got 1 star because it isn't supposed to, so I see as a good thing.

For years, I have kept the majority of my long guns in silicone-impregnated gun socks. They prevent rust/tarnish/etc. and keep the guns looking and feeling new. For the guns that aren't in gun socks, these wipes work great! They are a tremendous value when you look at all that you get for such a low price, and they really do the job.
