Been wanting one of these pillows for quite some time. This pillow is fantastic and reasonably priced. The pillow is heavy (as expected), and does make a little tiny bit of noise when moving it around. But...the pillow easily molds to the head and body in any position. The buckwheat hulls sort of feel like little tiny beads that allow for breathability & heat dissipation. It is definitely cooler than traditional pillows and does a better job of supporting the head, neck, and shoulders. You can actually feel it. In just a few days, I have noticed a more restful sleep. Very satisfied with this purchase. Highly recommended!

Ridiculously comfortable
I witched to this buckwheat pillow to find something that provides better support and it’s been a game-changer for my sleep quality -this thing is supportive and surprisingly comfortable. It molds to my head and neck. Whether I’m on my back, side, or stomach, the pillow adjusts perfectly to cradle my head and neck just right, zero tension or strain. It also stays cool throughout the night. I never have to worry about flipping the pillow over to the “cool side”.

Best Pillow
I was amazed at how well I slept with this pillow! The pillow arrived in a plain, very thin bag reminiscent of cheap trash bags, inside a somewhat tattered box. I was going to return it because it didn’t come in the thick bag with a handle shown on the picture. I was afraid it wasn’t the pillow I ordered. I contacted the seller and they were responsive within a few hours. They set my mind at ease and I decided to keep the pillow. Best decision ever! Don’t let the plain shipping to discourage from buying and using the pillow.I ordered the king size and it was the perfect size for me. It didn’t smell, like some buckwheat pillows do. And it wasn’t really noisy. I had been having neck and shoulder pain for days and unable to sleep more than 2-3 hours per night. I slept through the night on this pillow and the pain was better. I was so impressed, I ordered a second pillow. I have had buckwheat pillows in the past and this one is my favorite so far.

Takes some getting used to
I have been searching for a good pillow for ages. I’m a side sleeper. Mid 50s. About 20 years ago I had a sobakowa pillow that I bought off an infomercial. Don’t know what happened to it. When I came across this I snapped it up.Most recently I’ve been sleeping with a memory foam pillow which really has no memory (kind of like me). It would feel great when I fell asleep but I would wake up with no neck support feeling awful. This pillow remedies that. It’s hard to explain. It’s soft, but it’s hard. Once you get the right shape it stays that way. Sort of like shaping sand at the beach. There are some downsides. First, it smells odd. I did by some lavender flowers and put them in with the buckwheat. Problem solved.Second, it seems underfilled. I saw that there is refill to buy when it inevitably compresses. I suppose I’ll do that soon. I wind up squishing all to one area but because the case has so much space they husks shift around. I don’t know why I am hesitant on just buying more.Lastly, it’s loud. When I move it around in the night it scares the cats. I know, who cares. But my husband also hems and haws. I’m sure once there’s more buckwheat in there this won’t be a problem.Love this style of pillow. Glad I found it again.

OH YA BABE!
Well once again I am satisfied with a purchase from Amazon! As big as they are, they come together with fluidity, well most of the time!On to the review...I am currently 37 and pushing 38 yrs old. I am a stocky guy, not necessarily overweight, just German built, broad shoulders, etc. Anyway, for years I have suffered from neck & shoulder pain. Mostly derived from the way I sleep, combined with the fact that I abuse my body with some intensive manual labor at times.I have for many moons looked for a solution to my pain. Neurologist, ENT's, Chiropractors, Pills, Physical (Sports) Therapist, the list goes on! After $1000.00's dollars later, I still suffer from the some chronic pain to date!By now you're wondering, "What does this have to do with a pillow?" "I REALLY don't need this guy's life story!"Well, this is where the pillow comes in! This pillow has CHANGED my life! And, I am not a person who can be easily swayed based upon product hype! This pillow changed my attitude on that though!First, my pillow arrived promptly and well packed. Thanks Amazon Prime free 2 day ship!Secondly, like a few others have noted, there is a "plastic like" smell when you unpack the pillow. I think it derives from two places. One the packaging. And two, it appears that the pillow is plastic lined? I think this is for the dust the "hulls" create? However this lining does not make the pillow hot to sleep on in any manner that I can find. And the smell does dissipate over time.Thirdly, this pillow is HEAVY! Well compared to other pillows of similar size. Probably the heaviest pillow I've ever owned including the tempurpedic one that I have.Lastly, WOW, did I say WOW? I now sleep like the dead! Well most nights anyway. That is unless either my 4 yr old, or 2 yr old, or both, have snuck into bed with me and the wife and are kicking me in the side! But the point is..., I can mold this pillow into just about any position I want and it stays put! A little noisy when I lay my head down to get comfortable but then AHHHHHHHH and off to dreamland I go! As a matter of fact, my wife "borrowed" (down right stole) my pillow on the fourth night I had it! Now she (well now really I have one) has one too! Can't find a fault one in the pillow, at least to date! All in all I still have an occasional bout with my neck and shoulder pain. I don't know that I will ever get rid of it? One could hope though! But until that day comes, I will gladly except the relief that this pillow has brought into my life over the past 3 weeks! AND someday, just someday, maybe one day, I'll be pain free! Thanks Buckwheat!

Not enough buckwheat for the size
This pillow does not have enough buckwheat in it to be consider a king size pillow. You constantly have to adjust it to get comfortable. I bought extra buckwheat from the company and it was still not firm enough. I have the standard size I bought from another vendor and it was perfect. I gave it to my husband and wanted a queen then I see this one and the price was the same so I purchase it. I regret it go for a queen size.I email and ask for a free refill and they email me back and said no. So I bought refill from the other vendor whose pillow I love and give a great review on (lofe). My opinion the king size case is just too big and under fill.

Great buckwheat hull pillow, king size is very large and heavy though, but that's how it's supposed to be. :)
Great pillow, high quality materials. I've been a buckwheat hull pillow user for 15+ years and these are good quality pillows. Just be aware that this size is very large and very heavy. I use a queen size bed and it's almost too big for the bed. If you aren't used to a king size pillow (first one I've owned), make sure understand how they big they are before you buy! Especially buckwheat hull pillows because they are heavy at any size. Some of the other reviews are negative but these people leaving negative ratings about the pillow have probably never used a buckwheat hull pillow before. They are quite different than a regular pillow. Probably a good idea to try one before you buy one. They aren't for everybody. I love them though, I travel with a small version.I tend to get a sore neck from really soft pillows and this pillow has helped immensely. They also don't seem to get dust mites or allergens in them. I bought this to replace one I made 5 years ago and it was still in great condition. Make sure you get a nice protection cover for it and it should last a long time.

Works for me!
It’s a heavy pillow. It’s king sized. However it will not move when u sleep on it. U can adjust the buckwheat hulls for that right height you want. My neck feels better. It’s a little noisy when u move but that doesn’t bother my sleep. I told my husband I plan to get him one as well. I also put a coverlet pillow case over it to make it a little softer. Happy with my purchase.

Solid pillow
I’ve always used old feather pillows and got tired of how small they get. I read about the buckwheat and decided to give it a try. I got one for husband but he wouldn’t even lay his head on it. I LOVE this pillow though. I can move the husks to one area to have my head up for watching tv, or I can make a side pretty flat if I lie on my stomach, and I can carve a groove out so that my neck is supported and my head is the right height to keep my spine aligned when sleeping on my side or back. It is a solid pillow. It’s NOT a soft cushy pillow. If that’s what you want, this isn’t it.Cons: it is loud. The husks moving around make a crinkly noise. Sounds a bit like the ocean. Maybe you’ll like that! I find it hot. They specify that it’s cooling as the space between the husks allows for air flow, but I don’t find that to be the case, but it’s a king pillow so there’s plenty of room to find a cooler area. Lastly, it’s a bit of a struggle to get the pillow into the pillowcase because when you pick it up everything goes to one end making that end huge. So I put it on top then when I get everything lined up, flip the pillow for all the husks to run into the end in the case.
