We live in a forest where our dogs can safely roam, but one of our dogs, who is tan and blends into the trees quite well, is also a bit impulsive and runs off sometimes. He has a tracker on his collar, but it's a bit delayed. This helps us know where he is and it's fairly loud (so I'm hoping it also scares off animals he is likely to chase long before he can see them). I also like that it's easy to remove from his collar, unlike the kind that you attach to the D-ring - I like to take it off for indoor/more populated walks so I don't annoy others.

UPDATE: on, this Bell wound up being WAY to obnoxiously loud and annoying, a quick fix was sticking on about 6 tiny rubber self adhesive little feet pads I had laying around. That toned the bell down and made it tolerable. Now it works to my liking. So be warned, this thing can get on your nerves the way it comes!This will work perfectly for my trail dog in training so I can easily hear if she drops out behind me on the bike when we’re on the trails.$6 delivered you can’t beat it. I was looking at bells 3x the price w/o shipping, I’m glad I didn’t spend that much.I got the size small for my 40+ lb vizsla and it’s perfect. I can’t imagine a bigger louder one because this one is plenty loud and obnoxious. I think it makes her even crazier than she already is if that’s possible. lol

I cant use it. It sounds like a cow bell. I put it on my back screen door as a pre-burglar alarm. Lol. I'll get a smaller one for my doggie.

This has a good tone that carries well in the woods. I use it on a medium sized bird dog while hunting grouse in thick cover. Doesn’t seem to affect her, nor does it bother the grouse. A win on all accounts.

Used these bells for years best ones I’ve used on my dogs while hunting. Can’t beat the price either.

I got the bell for my dog in case she gets lost when traveling . Great sound to it.

I am using this bell for my cat who rings the bell to go outside.
