Cheap off brand knockoff.
Poor quality knockoff. Product images would have you believe that this is made in Germany original Hoechstmass, but this is some off brand Chinese junk. this measuring tape sports some "material Germany" & "German quality" labels, which means absolutely nothing.

It arrived from China.
Not sure if this is an authentic item. It says in the listing and on item that it’s made in West Germany, but I got it in a package from the manufacturing zone in China. Also it took 3 weeks just like those really inexpensive things w/ free shipping from China. It seems if not authentic a reasonably quality knockoff.
