Fred [DVD]

very good over all classic Fred , had an issues with a disc probably a bit dusty great viewing though a bit pricy though.

This is a wonderful series to be able to have on DVD.Fred Dibnah, what a great bloke! Met him briefly at Detling Fair, where he signed photographs for us. A tiny little fellow, with a big heart for our beloved country's heritage, and as brave as brave! What a tragedy that he's gone. RIP Fred.Concerning this DVD set, I've read that one of the series is "missing", and at first, I thought this was so. HOWEVER, this "missing" episode, purportedly named "A Disappearing World", according to what I've read, is NOT part of the series, but a one-off documentary added a year later, in 1983. So the DVD collection here is exactly as stated on its box as the "...7 episode 1982 BBC series...", coupled with "...the BAFTA winning 1979 documentary Fred Dibnah: Steeplejack."This is a truly-charming 2-DVD box set, which all fans of Fred Dibnah, young and old, should add to their collection without delay! :-)

We have BBC series on video which was starting to go fuzzy. Bought this because I thought this would be the same. But there’s a lot more on this dvd than I have. So I am a very happy and satisfied customer.

A great dvd of Fred Dibnah's life and family although you can tell the quality isnt of today's standards! Still loved it and took us back to the good old days.

When I first saw Fred on tv I was amazed the tv series was brilliant and Fred game across as a very genuine and honest person. How the tv series is on dvd which is brilliant and the complete series on dvd is just fantastic well worth the money 👍

Excellent DVD , I remember watching the programmes on BBC when I was a teenager , even then I thought Fred was a top bloke ! he had all the engineering skills fixing the chimneys and repairing he's steam engines but above all else he could talk to the people in a language people could relate to , not too technical , I'm glad I was able to buy these early programmes on Fred and he's adventures , these DVDs are well worth the money if your interested in anything to do with Fred these DVDs are a must.

The person I gave this to was overjoyed.
