Great product all around! (Autistic Gun Owner)
My dad and I go shooting on Sundays or Mondays most weeks and today I took these out for a test drive. Batteries are included so that was a nice surprise. Very easy, self-explanatory to use. Today, it was raining and the shooting range we go to has a tin roof over the pavilion. We sat our stuff down l, loaded our guns and started shooting. First of all, I’m on the autistic spectrum which is why I originally looked into these. The gunfire didn’t both me as much as the rain hitting the small metal roof. I put the ear defenders on and it was Aspie heaven. I immediately felt calm and way more centered and comfortable. I turned up the volume and at full blast, of course, the rain was amplified but I put it basically on the lowest volume + a little tiny turn more. I could hear my dad speaking and shooting but the rain was nice and muffled and so were the shots. My dad’s nine can REALLY make your ears ring especially under those roofs. I’m shooting in the rain, coffee (decaf, lol) next to me and I’m in my own little world. Perfect for my needs!!!Would DEFINITELY recommend to autistics and gun owners!!!

Great for sound amplification
Got these for range days. I recommend only uses for smaller caliber guns as .308 and above, can still be a bit loud. I contacted the manufacturer and they said they are working on a new design. However, I accidentally found a MUCH BETTER use for them. The sound amplification is crystal clear and excellent. Because there is a microphone on both ears, you can triangulate a sound just like you weren't wearing them. With that said, they are fantastic for deer hunting. I had a buck and doe about 20 yards behind me in thick brush and could hear them literally eating acorns. You could hear the pop of each acorn they ate...pretty cool! I could also hear a pair of does coming down a ridge from about 175 yards away! Sounded like they freight train. And they keep your ears warm which is a bonus.

Test Passed with Flying Colors !!!
Went to the range today after using Decibulls for a while now precisely because earphones were tight and uncomfortable for me.To my surprise, these are great ! Excellent adjustable fit and the mic function is impressive. Had the chance to compare this with the Howards and are basically the same. Performance is equal and this cost me ten bucks less. If you are looking a good electronic ear protectors for range shooting or similar... you can't go wrong with this.

Functions well for the price
I bought these to replace another set of electronic noise reduction ear protection (which was far more expensive) that was "misplaced". Here's what it boils down to. Was the set that was more than twice as expensive better? Yes...but not by much. The insulation isn't as thick on this so shooting at an indoor range is a little louder than some people may want. Easy fix. Wear ear plugs too. They don't even have to be that great. Many people do that anyway, especially if a bunch of people are in there with rifles. Very few, if any, noise reduction devices will block numerous rifles going off at once in an indoor range with concrete walls (which bounces the sound around). Outside? I was definitely good with just these. The sound amplification (when the guns aren't going off) is plenty. Easy to pick up on small sounds. Again, better is available but it works well, especially for the price.I gave this five stars because the value is really here. If you don't want to sell a kidney to pay for electronic ear protection, this set is definitely something to consider.

as advertised , great price!!!
price was under 30.00 with 10.00 off and 5% coupon, what a deal! just put in the batteries and went out doors to test. in the off position works well as a muff. is kinda windy out and thats what i wanted to see, if they were quite in the wind and i think with the volume set near normal hearing level the wind noise was near normal as if wearing nothing, and increases as volume goes up .very satisfied. this set came with batteries and ear plugs, but no case, but that explains the lower price. no biggy. snug fit and pretty comfy, fully extended cups fit my small head with just a little room to spare , so with anything on your head , hat etc. , may be tight. if i knew it would hold up for hunting conditions, i would give it 5 stars. i have tennitis ( ringing ears )from going without for 50 years, GET THESE ! DONT go without. like i did, something is better than nothing. one thing i did notice is one battery fit tight and one fell in, so if any issues with operating or not, thats what i would check. mine worked ok.

Lot's of uses for these head phones
I originally purchased these for use on the shooting range, but found an even better use for them in the woodworking shop. They are comfortable enough to wear all day, and work great to hear the radio at a lower volume. Listening level is easy to adjust with the thumb-wheel on the left ear-cup. Fire up the saws or router and the high pitched motor noise is instantly reduced to a pleasant level. When the saws are turned off I am right back to enjoying my radio. You can also connect these to an mp3 player with the included cord and put the player in your shirt pocket if you like. Mine came with a small battery storage case and 2 Duracell batteries. The packaging has a nice cutout foam piece that cradles the headphones and makes an great travel case. They are compact and foldable, which for me, makes them a little bit unwieldy to put on my head.

WOW, they work very well.
I turned these all the way up and it amplifies the sounds around you. Is awesome. When you shoot it cuts off all sound and then comes back. You can wear it while in your stand or blind and hear the woods/ brush all around you better than you could without them. I am recommending these to all my hunting buddies.

Don't go for the more expensive Ear Defenders, these are Brilliant!
Amazing product! After shelling out close to £500 on different sets of Ear defenders and having them stolen or break down on me, I thought I would buy something a little cheaper and risk it; IT WAS WORTH IT.My last set of Ear defenders were the 3M Peltor Sportacs which are great Electric Ear muffs but the quality does not reflect the price tag, after taking it out on a lightly rainy range, the left ear cups already started cutting out. So having them less than a week prompted me to buy these cheap Awesafe Ear defenders. They are a little more streamlined than the Peltor Sportacs and lighter meaning you feel them less on your head (good if your constantly moving around). Comparing them to my old set of Howard Leight Impact Sports (the holy grail of budget protection) I can safely say save your £10 and buy the Awesafes. In terms of build Quality they are almost identical since they have a similar design. Comparing the sound quality they are equally on par, although my sportacs had slightly better audio clarity.Pros:-Reliable, Using them for a few days on a range in the crummy british weather and they have yet to show any sign of damage-Good build quality, I tend to toss things about and these are not exception, already lasted a few missed throws into my bag-Okay sound quality, these amplify sounds with good clarity at normal volume-Good value for money, for the price nothing even comes close!-Easy to operate with gloves, Only one dial, turn it all the way to hear a click and its offCons:-Slight Hissing, I turned these almost all the way up to hear the range instructor clearly and I did notice very minimal hiss although this did not bother me as even my 3M sportacs also had the same problem-Headband not very Comfortable, There is no padding so that is to be expected however if you tend to wear a hat or have thick hair this isn't a problem. If it does bother you there are plenty of Velcro padding available for the headband onlineOverall I am extremely happy with my purchase and I have no buyers remorse (can't say the same for my friend who just shelled out the £100 on another set :D) and when someone does eventually nick it, I won't have a dent in my bank account when I have to purchase another one!

Surprisingly effective hearing protection
OK so for the price I wasn't expecting much but I was gobsmacked. They fold up small for easy storage and come with a connector cable so that you can listen to music whilst using them.I bought them because I look after church bells and often do a bit of metal working using grinders and so forth. For the price I thought I'd give them a go, if the noise reduction didn't work they'd still make a decent set of ordinary ear defenders.Put batteries in, turned them on and was really pleased with the noise cancellation - probably worried my neighbours because I was going around the house thumping things to get a loud noise, tip: the kitchen table with a tea tray is especially loud. I turned up the ambient noise microphone and it amplifies every sound (but delivers them at a comfortable level), just dragging my hand over the kitchen table (a useful quality testing device) sounded really loud and clear. Turn it up in the garden you can probably hear a sparrow fart - not tried that yet though.Using an angle grinder is great with these things with the loudness deadened but other ambient sounds still coming in clear. Listening to music whilst working also awesome. My only complaint is that they can be a little tight on my ears after a while - although I do have a massive head.Anyway I'm recommending them to my other friends and colleagues who have a use for this sort of thing.M

Great value!
Have used these on an indoor range firing 22 rifles and they performed really well.Easy to use and comfortable the only issue I had with them was putting in the batteries. The instructions are diabolical and it was a friend who showed me how. Hold the muffs in your left hand and push up with your thumb while using your right thumb to press down on the covers front leading edge. This will release the cover and allow it to slide off. I have no doubt that these muffs will handle centre fire cartridges but will update if that proves not to be the case. Incidentally when I asked for advice on how to open the battery cover I got the answer to "work harder"...amusing if slightly insulting! They really are a great buy and I see no advantage to spending more although a protective case would have been nice but I see on Amazon the same muffs at a higher price but with a case included.

Perfect for indoor smallbore
Did exactly what a pair of electronic headphones should do, can't flaw the build or audio quality depite the price tag. Excellent rubber quality, very comfortable and easy on the ears, ideal for long sessions. Have used many different headphones in the past, yet none have come close to this.Would thoroughly reccomend to anyone searching for affordable, quality headphones.

Shooting Earmuffs
Excellent product - wore on the same day to go clay pigeon shooting. You can adjust the volume so that you can hear people talk - and you can hear the shot, but not the high decibel sound that damages your ears.Adjust the volume as necessary.Build quality is very good and comes with two duracell batteries which should last 350 hours approx.the cardboard box it comes in is padded, but you need a case to protect it.
