Versatile Card Reader for Apple Devices
I connected this reader to four Apple devices: two iPhones, an iPad, and a MacBook. Upon inserting a card using either the Lightning or USB-C plug, the card reader immediately illuminated, and the device was promptly recognized. No need for any additional apps, software, or drivers to be installed. On the iPhones, the photos on the card were accessible in the "Photos" folder, while on the iPad, the reader appeared as a named device in the "Photos" area. In both cases, you have the option to download images and files from the card, as well as transfer files onto the card.I tested both the micro and larger SD card slots, and both functioned flawlessly. The test photos transferred without any issues, as one would expect.Notably, because this reader is equipped with both a Lightning and USB-C plug, it can be connected to both a phone and a laptop simultaneously. In my test, both devices could access the digital card, although they couldn't see each other. However, this shouldn't pose any issues, as it offers a convenient way to swiftly transfer files and images from a card to your digital devices. The reader itself exudes a sturdy build, enclosed in an aluminium housing. The card slots illuminate with a blue light when the reader is connected to a device and a card is inserted, indicating that the reader is powered up.Remarkably lightweight and comparable in size to a small key chain, it's ideal for stashing in your camera or travel bag, ensuring you can download your images at the end of the day and commence each morning with an empty card.

Benfei SD Card Reader
This product was sent to me to review, as part of Amazon Vine. The below is my own real-world experience of using it.It’s a fairly robust and lightweight adapter, with a flexible cable. In terms of construction, it is mostly well made. The only slight issue is a rattling of the plastic connector between the USB and USB-C ends (which are sat together, and can be separated depending on which device you need to connect).I was able to use this with my PC, and had no issues with the device being recognised. Both the SD and the micro SD slots functioned well, with no abnormally slow read speeds.Overall, a good value item.

Good USB C SD and Micro SD card reader
I got this as a spare SD card reader I can put in my bag so I can leave my main one at home.My Windows laptop doesn't have a SD card reader, so this was useful for transferring files from my camera.Windows recognised it without issue, and transfer speeds were in line with what I expected, around 90-100Mbps with SD card, so at least USB 3.0 speeds. It also seems to work connected to my Android 13 phone and I can see and read/write to a card connected to it, so useful in a pinch for that. The USB A and C connections are handy, although I can't say how durable the connector between them will be.At £17.99 its reasonable value for money, considering it is USB 3.0 spec, be aware of similar USB C SD card readers that are actually only USB 2.0 speeds.

All good so far..
Nice looking card reader. A little larger than normal but it has the advantage of a USB A port and a USB C port. I tried 1 Micro SD card and 2 SD cards , speeds were similar using A or C ports. The Micro SD card was a bit difficult to eject.. But I found that if you pushed it back in a little to the reader it came out quickly.. Same with an SD card.Apparently the Benfei reader will support high speeds UHS-II cards..but I don't have one.I tested 3 cards all UHS-I with CrystalDiskMark 8.x All high speed ones , UHS-I cards are normally a maximum of 104MB/s read/write.Samsung 128GB Pro Plus MicroSD Claimed Speeds 160MB/s Read 120MB/s WriteSamsung 256GB Pro Plus SD Claimed Speeds 160MB/s Read 120MB/s WriteSandisk Extreme Pro 64GB SD Claimed Speeds 170MB/s Write 90MB/sThe Benfei reader was very similar to the claimed speeds.. sometimes a bit quicker. Nice, versatile card reader.
Everybody needs a card reader, and this one works pretty dang good. I only use the USB-A connection for now but it's nice to know I'm covered for USB-C situations that may arise. I really like the micro-SD card slot which makes it unnecessary to search the house for your adapter. This product looks nice and works great. The only possible drawback is the size...its a bit bulkier than other readers I've used. That's probably not a concern for most users (myself included), just something to consider if space is tight. Overall a great card reader that covers all the bases.

BENFEI SD 4.0 Card Reader - Works very well with Synology NAS
I took this reader with a very specific use case in mind.I wanted to have a solution to easily fetch dash cam recordings from SD card directly to NAS.Before I provide details regarding my specific needs, let me go through basics and ordinary use cases.Card reader is very well made. Cable thickness and aluminum body reveal solid quality and I have no doubts pertaining durability.I’ve tested it with a Dell laptop and it produced an impressive transfer. I’m not sure how far it can go but with the fastest card I had handy, I’ve got about 92 MB/s which is likely the card limit since I’ve got the same result with one of my premium docking stations. Cheap hubs with card readers couldn't go above 20 MB/s (with the same card, of course), so I can tell, there is a big difference.I liked attached USB-C to USB-A adapter with a protection tie so it can’t be detached and lost. Also, unlike with many hubs, when a card is inserted it creates click feel and sound which is typically found on laptops with SD card readers. This is a nice touch and another quality brownie point which removes doubt if the card is properly and fully inserted. What I liked:* overall quality* transfer rate* USB-C/A adapter* insert/eject mechanismWhat I didn’t like:* didn’t found any negatives so farNow as for my specific needs, I needed this reader for my NAS to be permanently available whenever I want to transfer recordings from my dash cam card, or pictures from a DSLR camera card.Solution is called “USB Copy”. This service can be configured to detect whenever a card is inserted to trigger a specific task and perform a full content dump on NAS. You can configure multiple tasks based on source path, for example might be /usbshare1/video, then to copy content to a specific destination folder. This way, as long as source paths are different, you can define multiple tasks for different devices. For DSLR cameras there will be different source and destination paths within another task. All this is happening completely automatically as soon as you insert a card. NAS will trigger a task and after completion it will produce a beep sound (to tell you it’s done) and will unmount/eject the card (if configured this way). So you absolutely don’t need to open any software or console and do anything else except inserting a card, and remove it when it’s all done. This card reader plays a critical role in this setup and not only was it recognized without any problems by the NAS Linux system, but also works indirectly via the USB hub since I don’t have enough USB ports on NAS for a few devices that I need plugged in at all times.I’m unable to confirm transfer rate on NAS since there is no indication during transfer but I measured approximate start and end time. For 41.5 GB, it took just under 5 minutes, so I’m super happy overall.Concussion: This is a high quality independent SD card reader, that you can't go wrong. Yes, the price is a bit high (27.99$ at time of writing), but it’s reasonable based on device performance.

Buenos acabados, buena velocidad y bastante versatilidad
