works great, sturdy
This is a true cuber with sharp blades. It handed round steaks and chicken breast with ease. Comes apart easily, I hand wash immediately after finishing, as a result easy to clean, have a long bristle brush for the cutters. Handle just slips on no bolt to attach it ( does not need one!). The plastic(nylon) gears are sturdy. You drop/ start the steak on top, then hold on to the top and turn the handle and the steak goes right through. Very little effort is needed.

Impressed
Works surprisingly well. Great alternative to the very pricey commercial machines. I run things through a couple times to get the meat scored in different directions. Easy to put together and easy to use. Hand crank is simpler than I expected. Sturdy.Easy to clean if you oil the blades with cooking oil or Pam Spray before using. Very sharp blades, so use caution.

Not what I expected for a tenderize machine
Cuts meat/poultry into stir-fry strip. Doesn't feed through and out the bottom. Wraps around the blades. I cut my fingers up trying to remove the meat. Would not have been able to remove meat at all without a fork. Machine was very sturdy and well made. Too bad it doesn't tenderize. I wanted something like cube steak. Sending it back

Just like the meat came from a butcher already tenderized.
I LOVE this machine. I have used it for chicken breasts, boneless pork loin chops and today, beef flank steak. I love this machine. It is so easy to use, it comes apart and I wash it in the dishwasher! the blades are exceptionally sharp, the first time I washed it by hand and cut up my hands pretty bad. I don't handle it anymore, other than putting it in the dishwasher by the ends. I did a lot of research before I chose which one I wanted to buy. I wanted one that would make my flank steak just like the stuff I have purchased from the butcher at Kroger/QFC. It is exactly like that. I run it through several times, and if I'm using a dry rub, I run it through the last two runs with the seasoning on it to really get it into the meat. I have not been compensated for this review. It is my honest experience.

A solid machine
This device is a solid piece of machinery. And it works easily and well. I happen to pick up some round steak on sale, chopped it up into smaller pieces which I ran through four or five times. It only takes a second or two to run a piece through. I was very pleased with the results, but this round steak was still very tough after cooking it the way Mama did in the skillet, flour, browning on both sides, then pouring some water in the frying pan and letting it steep for quite a while. That is certainly not this tenderizer's fault. It's just the old story of garbage in, garbage out. I would recommend it.

Very Good Product, but missing a bit to be perfect
I ordered this tenderizer after having owned and used the stand-up-blender-style attachment version. Those all have pyramid-shaped "dimples" that poke into the meat and do a less than spectacular job of tenderizing. You really need to have blades that slice the fibrous meat fibers--and thats what THIS product does. After using it, I found that it did a great job of cutting the meat. I tested it on flank steak that we use for our usual steak taco nite. I ran the meat thru the tenderizer twice, the second time being 90 degrees rotated from the first time so it ended up "cubing" the cuts. This made it take the marinade incredibly and did a really good job of cutting the grisly fibers in the steak.I was concerned that the meat might have mushy texture after using this but it was not to be--instead the meat was noted by everyone in my family as being MUCH more tender than before, ex: "you could bite thru the meat easily instead of pulling whole strips of steak out of your taco with each bite."I will say that it seemed to make the meat strips harder to "sear" than when untenderized--I have no idea why but maybe it steams a bit more in the pan when you have all the grooves to hold liquid?...I had no issue with the meat getting stuck in the blades or in the machine as other people mentioned. I will say that it is somewhat difficult to use one hand to hold the machine in place, one hand to crank the handle and...one hand? to feed the meat into the chute. Dropping meat into the chute and then cranking rather than slow-feeding the meat WHILE cranking sometimes makes it difficult to crank as the meat is a bit bunched up on top of the blades. Probably best to clamp it down or use a 2nd person for this part.I was concerned about clean up because I was not really sure the ENTIRE tenderizer is stainless steel. We all know what happens to aluminum stuff you put in the dishwasher--you get black smut metal out and its basically ruined--and I was sure the blade parts were stainless but doubted the rest. Reading thru the description of the product on the sell page, you can see that it's carefully worded in such a way that as long as the blades are stainless, it's described correctly. Even though it gives you the impression that it is completely made of stainless steel. It seemed to fail the "key scratch" test and also was a bit light for what I would have thought it should be if it were all stainless. So, I tried handwashing it first and managed to cut my hand pretty quickly while inside the base unit on all the sharp edges there. This made me decide that either it's going to be dishwasher safe or in the garbage! I put the 2 blade units on the top rack and the rest of the body disassembled in the bottom (I did not put the handle crank in as I was SURE it was aluminum) and did a "quick" wash cycle. Thank fully it came out nice and clean and not discolored at all. So if it is indeed aluminum, it must be coated enough to resist the harsh environment of a dishwasher at least for the first wash (I will update if I find out different after subsequent washes.)I give it 4 out of 5 stars because of the following:-The instruction manual is from a previous version of the product. The disassembly/cleaning instructions describe removing screws and other steps inorder to clean it which are no longer necessary as it now has nice finger latches that hold things together.-The handle crank has no set-screw to hold it onto the machine which is a bit irritating when cranking it.-The unit is unnecessarily tall in my opinion. You don't need that much room for the meat to exit--the meat folds over easily after coming thru and the tall form-factor just makes trying to use it by yourself without clamps that much more awkward-Other meat tenderizers have adjustable thickness settings so you can vary your meat thickness easily--this does not and would be even more useful if they could add adjustment for the blades to handle thicker or thinner meat slices. All that being said, it is a solidly built piece of equipment and works very well and at $130 its a fair price for what you get. As long as it stands up to the dishwasher it is a recommend for me.

WOW!
This thing is a bit bigger than I expected , but it really makes tenderizing meat a breeze. Clean up is fairly easy. You just have to be careful when cleaning the blades. They are really sharp. I was surprised on the ease of use. I tenderized flank steak last night. Put it through twice in each direction. It was so tender. Well worth the investment . I've tried using the little hand held tenderizers which takes forever and a whole lot of effort. And the end result is not even close to using this machine.

Meat raps around blades.
Unit is well built, but I have waited $60 of meat trying to get it to work, the meat raps around the blade. I tried spraying the blades with pam didn't work. Put the guards in the same as the video didn't work still raps around the blades.
