WWII finally came to a close when I was an 8-year-old, standing on a curb as cars drove down our busy street, rolls of toilet paper 'unfurling' from windows/horns honking in celebration. My uncle spent his military years in India. Only as an adult, did I find out why we had troops so very far from what I'd always considered the 'war zone.' Kathleen Prince has brought together her own researched facts/photos, and the most incredible personal thoughts from one who 'was there.' I've bought a second copy for a friend who'll appreciate it as much as I do.

Personal account of a WWII hero.
This book captured my attention from the very beginning. It is such a personal account of George Moons personal life, that I felt I knew him. The author did a lot of research to fill the book with facts about the Army Air Force during WWII which made the book even more interesting.
