OLD BAY Seasoning, 2.62 oz

I'm not much of a fan of pre-packages herb and spice mixes, but I've been hearing about Old Bay for so long that I had to try it.I was excited to give it a go when it arrived, and I was preparing to cook some hamburgers. Normally, I'm a hamburger purist, preferring pretty much just salt on my burger patties, so this would an interesting experiment.My initial reaction is that this stuff stinks like crazy when you cook it, but the flavor is something else.I seasoned my patty very lightly. The sear on the burger developed a really delicious flavor, but the overall effect was so very subtle that I probably wouldn't have suspected that I had used anything at all to season it. Really, the flavor just naturally tasted what I thought a really good hamburger should taste like.I decided to compare it side-by-side with Lawry's Seasoning Salt, which seems to be the gold standard in much of the midwest, and it wasn't even fair. Lawry's, even when used very lightly, tends to overpower the flavor of the hamburger, and not in a good way.The Old Bay seasoning seemed to work with the flavor of the hamburger to somehow make it better. In fact, since a hamburger is a convenience food for me, there is a high likelihood that I'll be using Old Bay seasoning on all of my hamburgers from now on.Going to try frying up some chicken tomorrow.

Great seasoning

We had heard of this but spice never tried it. A good friend suggested that we do. So we purchased this small bottle and found that we wished that we had tried it a long time ago. This stuff adds great taste to just about any meal. It is best on meats like beef, chicken, fish and pork. But it doesn't end there. Put it on salads and we even tried it on specialty sandwhiches and the added flavour was amazing. And soup... we used it on a chunky beef soup and it really enhansed the flavour. We have been trying it on almost everything with success on just about every dish.Comes in a plastic shaker bottle of just under 3 oz. There is a shaker spout under the resealable cap. The flavour is a nice mix of various spices and had just the perfect amount of heat/kick. When this is finished we will pick up a larger supply... So glad that we found this...

I ordered this item on a Saturday and selected standard delivery, so I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived on Monday! I've used a store-brand version of this type of seasoning but never the original Old Bay. It has a more pronounced celery seed flavor than the store-brand, which I like (but if you're not a fan of celery seed, you might want to pass on this). It's a versatile seasoning that I've already used in tuna salad and tofu scramble with excellent results. Given the freshness of the product and speed of delivery, I highly recommend this seller.

My family loves this spice mix for seafood boils and corn on the cob. Put some in the water for boiling either food and see what you think!

Enjoying the spicy infusion of flavor on seafood, shell fish, and vegetables. Had roasted potatoes, carrots, and onions dusted with Old Bay as a side with roasted pork covered in gravy and slices of portobello mushrooms. Doesn't get much better.
