SHIMANOST-R3000 Sora STI Lever Set, 9-Speed, Triple

Two triple Shimano shifters, in the box, with full cabling included, looking brand new. I'm currently swapping an old set out for these because I prefer the routed cabling into the back of the shifter, which these have (whereas my old set routed into the side, meaning cabling sticking out the front on the bike). They will apparently fit onto a standard two cog set up (my bike is 9-speed). The only thing to consider is that there's no way to refit the shifter mechanism without re-routing the cabling all the way through the bike, but that's not shimanos fault, and should keep me busy!The delivery was fast, the product is perfect, and the price is cheap! High quality Shimano 3 x 9 speed shifters with integrated cable brakes. Easy to fit. Easy to use. Fast, crisp gear changes. I changed a tired 3 x 8 into a 3 x 9. Looks great.

They do what you would expect.

Ultra smooth and reliable levers. Faultless on my recent 1003 mile LEJOG ride. Comfortable for hours on the hoods.

Sora moved on from its early versions and now looks the part and performs well. Whilst all cables are in the box it's a shame the cable lengths provided for the brakes are only good for rim callipers - if you intend to use mechanical discs then you're going to have to buy longer cables to reach the disc callipers, which bumps up the price of an already expensive product. Would be good to have the option when purchasing.

I got the 3x9 speed shifters. The front derailleur when down shifting completely skips the middle chain ring.Very disappointed after spending hours fitting them.
