Loved these fun facts about Christmas around the world
I found myself giggling while reading through some of these fun facts about Christmas, as I am a Christmas enthusiast. The book educated me about the historical traditions of Christmas worldwide, which I found quite fascinating. I even learned that people who put up their Christmas tree early tend to be happier, and I can attest to that as I am one of them. All in all, it's a fun-filled book that the whole family can enjoy. I highly recommend it!

What's Not to Like
I don't know which is better in this book, the trivia or the humor. If you like trivia, this book is for you. If you like levity then your in for a treat. This book combines both, reading snippet to snippet. It's hard to stop reading.

Interesting fun facts about Christmas
I give 4.5 stars (rounded up to 5) to this book full of interesting and festive facts. Some I already knew, but there were lots of new facts, too. I appreciated the book's organization by topic in each chapter. Sometimes, facts were repeated, but in a book of so many facts, that's understandable! At times, the jokes seemed too cheesy/forced for my taste, but other times, they made me laugh. Overall, I liked learning some new fun facts to share at holiday gatherings. This book will help me enjoy aspects of Christmas even more now that I know more about them.I received a review copy for free from BookSirens, and I am leaving this review voluntarily with my honest opinions.

Loved it!
I loved this book. It's a real keeper, one to open and read again later. This is something to sit at the table at Christmas breakfast and read excerpts aloud. My only problem were the multitudinous references at the end of each chapter. They were too much of a distraction, and could have well been reserved and posted at the very end.

A serious Amount Of Facts and A bit jokey
I love how the facts were divided into topics (all having to do with Christmas but still). It was nice that there wasn't just a block of facts, but categories including 'Nature" where I learned that a holly plant can be both male or female and only one gender had berries. I also learned that mistletoe is a parasite, which is wild. I love how the facts are all cited as well at the end of each section.

Full of fun and interesting facts about Christmas
A smorgasbord of fun and interesting facts about Christmas is just inside this book! Did you know the Puritans banned Christmas for a time? Probably because it was too lighthearted and maybe even (yikes) fun. In Jamaica, they celebrate with a drink made from Sorrell, rum, and ginger. In Malawi, the kids go around and sing songs to their neighbors. The book is filled with fact after fact of Christmas traditions found throughout the world. If you're looking for a nice gift to give someone who might appreciate this book, now you know! A very interesting book and worth reading!

Almost 5 stars! Great holiday fun!
Jenny Kellett's latest holiday-themed trivia tome covers an impressively wide breadth of Christmas knowledge. The scope ranges from historical customs to pop culture to the economics behind traditions. Sprinkled throughout are plenty of chuckle-worthy factoids sure to entertain. As a lighthearted read, it largely hits the mark - I often smiled at the playful asides and obscure trivia. However, the book would likely warrant 5 stars if not for the frequent academic-style source citations. The constant references to studies and articles, often exceeding the page count for a given section, disrupt the breezy flow. While likely intended to validate the facts, the citations bog down the reading experience. That said, Kellett's enthusiasm remains palpable throughout. The expansive collection of tidbits offers something for all ages and interests this holiday season. It succeeds as a lively conversation starter for gatherings with family or friends. Quiz your loved ones on Santa statistics or awe with your knowledge of solstice rituals. For a healthy dose of festive trivia to spruce up your holidays, dive into this jam-packed compendium.
