Worth it...Good battery, Quick start-up
Firstly I thoroughly searched for reviews about this laptop before I bought it, there were few. There were many variations of HP Envy so I depended on reviews on this page and on Hp's website about the HP Envy itself and Youtube. I also searched for reviews on the seller and Rock E Digital proved the best for me.The laptop is as described: not chunky, screen is large, has a wide touchpad - this is probably because there is no numeric keypad, which I have to get accustomed to. The box was supposed to have laptop, laptop charger, a stylus pen and USB Type C multi function adapter. It did not have the multifunction adapter so I contacted the seller. NB, the pen was not charging and after troubleshooting with HP online they told me to contact the seller was not registered as having been sold with the pen. The seller had to send me a new one, the new one worked. You also got 2 additional nibs with the pen although I didn't get with the 2nd. When i was troubleshooting with HP they realized that my warranty was less than it should have been and they corrected it, it took some days before it registered - which they did tell me. The multi function adapter had to be shipped after the purchase because the seller said with the hectic pace of the holidays they omitted it in error. In the end I got everything that was advertised and they work well. There is no cd drive (which most laptops do not have nowadays), no sd card reader so the multi function adapter is useful. The facial recognition and pin works well - you have to register both. When you shift the camera shutter left or right the camera still recognizes you - it has wake my device when I'm so many metres away - so I sometimes leave the shutter in the middle and it doesn't. It powers-on quickly, the battery life that I used so far is quite good for me thus far - 8 plus hours without charge. Charges fast, a little over 45 minutes for full charge. The power button is on key on the laptop itself. Powers on when you open the laptop.Touchscreen is good, stylus pen works well, doesn't scratch the screen with it's pointed nib and it is magnetic. The stylus came with a USB Type C charger, the laptop uses a Type C port for charging also. Works well when mouse is connected. Backlit keyboard works well. Connects to wifi quickly, takes about 3 seconds to open a webpage when using hotspot on phone, bluetooth works well. Speakers are great and has AI noise cancellation for both input and output. Speaker volume is ok, I've heard it louder on my previous laptop though. Screen brightness is ok, not too bright at 80%, don't know if it has anti glare etc. Function keys work well also. It has page up/down arrow keys only. Does not have a dedicated key for airplane mode, you will have to click on wifi or battery icons to get it.My last laptop was an hp pavilion intel core i5, this system uses the "ultra" platform which is the one after the i series. My pavilion did not have a cd drive either but it had the sd card reader (2017). The pavilion also synced my google calendar to the laptop's calendar, I haven't been able to figure that out with this one yet. (maybe some place in settings). The OS is Windows 11 Pro. There's an hp support assistant where you can get messages on updates and your warranty status etc. It came with a one month trial version of MS Office. Haven't explored creator and photographer that was advertised.I bought mine for US$755 from US$775 (2 days before Thanksgiving November 2024) but I'm seeing it reduced to US$729 now! (January 2025) HP laptops work for me.All in all, a great laptop. :)

Don't ignore the reviews and hope for the best, you will lose and get the worst!!
This item is NOT as represented. I read the other reviews and saw that people often didn't get the stylus or the port hub for the USB ports, etc. But I thought that since people were able to get partial refunds that I'd roll the dice, and sure enough i lost. I was sent a 3 in 1 hub instead of the 7 in 1 hub that I needed and is stated to be included. No stylus at all. I was offered a partial refund but nowhere near enough to actually replace the 2 items. When i asked for the full replacement amount I was told that due to "cost concerns" they were unable to provide the full replacement cost. Their cost concerns aren't actually my problem since I paid for all the items and should have been given all the items, or at bare minimum the items replaced. While working on these issues, I tried to set up the laptop and quickly discovered that the claim that this laptop has fingerprint recognition biometrics as stated in the item description is also a lie. This ONLY has facial recognition, which kind of defeats the purpose as being able to cover the camera with the switch, since you'd need that open to do the facial recognition. I also can't stand facial recognition so I wouldn't have bought it at all if I had known that. Also, it is clear that while upgrading the SSD/RAM that the outer hull of the laptop was damaged and they just sent it anyway (there was absolutely no damage to the Amazon or the laptop box upon delivery and it's clearly a pry mark from opening the hull).Long story short, I have had this item about 7 hours and I'm returning it first thing in the morning. I'm very sad to report this to you all, because this was the only laptop I found that I thought would meet ALL my spec needs. Don't be brave and order hoping for the best, you'll get the worst.

Awesome laptop for cheap
I got the laptop at $629, a great deal! Its fast and quiet. Only thing to note is that it has a 250 nits of brightness screen, so overall not very bright. But its ok for indoor use.I bought 2 laptops and one came with 0% power. The battery meter did not work until I charged the laptop to 100%. So Incase you face a similar issue just note that the laptop battery needs to be calibrated by charging to 100%.

Why I ❤️ this product.
I freaking love this computer. The AI feature is my absolute favorite. The battery life is long lasting. The storage capacity could be a little more for the value of your money. For the value of your money the design could be bigger and added a numbers pad. The design is basic. The size is ok. I love the touch screen a nice addition to have for sure. It’s worth the value of your money, based on performance.

Excellent Purchase
I purchased the HP Elite X2 G4 three years ago and never had an issue with it. I absolutely loved it because of the laptop to tablet feature which is why I originally purchased it. The only reason I purchased this upgrade was because someone damaged my old one and it recently crashed. Repairing it would have costed the same as a new one therefore I opted to just get the upgrade since I found no faults in the old one and didn't want any other laptop. This laptop meets the description provided and exceeds all the expectations that I had based on using the old one. This product is one of a kind and is super convenient with its size being able to fit in a reasonably small backpack and small space, particularly with the detachable keyboard transforming it as tablet. Anyone whose seen me using it has been very impressed by its sleek look and convenient style. This is the only laptop/tablet that I ever want to use for the rest of my life.
