Wish I had these in OIF
The original bulbs that came with the C2 Centurion were horrible in their life span, they were bright, but burned out quickly and drained the batteries much too quickly. I bought 3 C2's, one for myself, my driver and my gunner. We were constantly trying to get our hands on batteries and bulbs. The first night I had these LED bulbs, I left one on ALL night with fresh batteries, not only was it still on and bright about 8 hours later, the light was still on another 8 hours later, though dimmer, but still about as bright as an every day flashlight 16 hours into it. Not only that, it didn't heat up a fraction of the old bulbs, and the LED was just fine with a fresh set of batteries. What I wouldn't have given to have had these in Iraq when I really needed them.

P60 compare
Fits in 6P but it has a deeper reflector so only 1 3/4 turns of the head before it is seated vs 4 1/2 turns on the P60. I need it for 50-100 feet of open and a reasonable amount of penetration into the woods (20-30 yards or so). Similiar to what you need for a camping situation. This light is hotter at the center but doesn't flood nearly as well inside 100' which is where I use mine. If you're trying to bore out 75-100 yards it's perhaps a little better (but you need to be on target) with the more focused beam. Haven't used it enough to comment battery life but that should be decent. Others seemed to think this a notable improvement over the lesser lumen old style bulbs but I'm not sold on that. What I do like is that this bulb should have a longer life and that's a consideration if your life depends on it. Overall decent but I liked my old P60 better for my purposes. Others are seeing something I'm not.Edit/Correction: I failed to remove the outer spring before putting this item in the 6P. Once removed the head or bezel screws on with the same number of turns as the original P60. So that is not an issue.

Nice and bright...
The original bulb burned out on my SureFire G2 flashlight. I searched Amazon for a replacement and settled on this one.Upon first installation it seemed to be a bad fit. I couldn't close the flashlight back completely. I was prepared to give this a bad review but wanted to read other reviews to see if it was just me. Another reviewer mentioned this problem and said it was solved by removing the spring around the bottom of the reflector (the gold colored spring you see in the product pictures). Sure enough - that solved the issue for me and turned this into a 5-star rating. The light beam is so bright and focused for such a small flashlight, and the price seems right to me.

an inexpensive drop-in replacement LED flashlight module
drop-in replacement led moduleProsinexpensivemore efficient than incandescent bulbs - lasts longer and runs cooler on a set of batterieshigher output - brighter light with longer reachConsbuild quality not as good as a factory LED upgrade module - e.g. compare against the much more expensive official Surefire LED modules)fit may not be 100% and this can affect how the on/off switch and tail cap works

Surefire replacement bulb
I have an older Surefire Z2 light that was in desperate need of a replacement for the old dim incandescent bulb that came in it. I have this light mounted on my AR rifle. This new bulb assembly needed to have the outer spring removed to fit inside the Z2 housing. The bulb is bright and works much better than the older incandescent bulb technology. I've only had this bulb installed for a few weeks so I cannot comment on its longevity.

Great improvement over incandescent bulb
Purchased this emitter for Surefire's G3 torch, and the result was an immediate improvement: brighter light, less heat, much much longer battery life, and no need for bulb replacement. Overall, this purchase actually saved money due to the aforementioned reasons, and will be a necessary upgrade to my entire Surefire collection of high output torches ( for more detail, see my review of the companion 450+ CREE emitter ).

Decent quality at a good price.
This a decent and cheap upgrade for an old incandescent Surefire. The beam was focused with enough spill to be useful. I can't measure the claimed lumen output but I get the impression that it is accurate. Its not the best quality but good enough for a light that lives in my truck or ATV. Recommended if you need a decent upgrade for a good price.
