I've had two cooling towels for a few years and love them, but as the heat bears down I decided I needed another pair for good measure. this duo is totally different from my original set. the first cooling towels I got were much thicker, and they "dry hard," ending up like cardboard until re-wet. these two are thinner and longer, you snap them to activate the cooling once wet, they're still fairly soft when dry, and they look like netting on one side.what I like best about this set is that I can use them as turbans (the others are too short, wide, and thick for that), and they can also pass as scarves. as turbans they're great when I'm working in the garden, but I think I'm also going to try that for general running around this summer. I don't use a/c in the house or in the car, so every little bit helps. having two means I can do the turban and the scarf, simultaneously. when at my desk I'll use all four, because the others are fantastic as well, they just wouldn't work as fashion accessories...another great thing about these cooling towels is that when they start to warm up, as long as they're still moist, snapping them reactivates the cooling effect. amazing. another miracle of modern technology!
