The bag is great for storage of everything you will need on your trip, and that is where the problem is. I had the great idea to invest in a really good snowboard bag, and cut my checked bags from two to one when flying. I ended up doing it, but I had to take a large backpack for carry on. It was not possible to keep the board bag under the 50 pound limit without leaving some stuff behind, or putting it in the backpack, and when I did that, I had all kinds of unused space in the bag and compartments.To be clear, you can easily fit all of one person's snowboard gear (board, bindings, boots, and all clothing for snowboarding from base layer to jacket) into this bag and not go over 50 pounds. My problem was that I still needed to pack other things for a 5 day trip for when I wasn't riding.Given the cost of the bag, do not purchase this bag with the grand plan to load it up and use this as your only checked bag. You will hit that weight limit quickly, and be left with a whole lot of unused, expensive storage. You can go over the weight limit and pay the extra fees, but at the point where you are doing that, just buy a less expensive board bag and check two bags.All that being said, if you are traveling some way where weight is not a factor, and you want to cut down to one bag, then this bag is incredible!One other thing to keep in mind, the structural support of the bag is highly reliant on the board itself. I thought that I would get the biggest size offered, and just load it up, and that left some slop in one end. It's not a huge deal, but given all that I previously mentioned, I would have purchased a more accurate sized bag for my board.

I got the largest size, 180cm or thereabouts. It's huge. I ride longer boards so I thought I should get the big big one, but it really is too long which causes the unstructured bag to sag a bit in wheelie mode. All good otherwise.
