Strengthen and tone your entire body using athletic, graceful movements with special attention on challenging your arms, abs, thighs and butt. Get consistent, easy to follow cues which make a huge difference in your results. After warming up, start with an intense standing butt and leg toning section using ballet inspired exercises done with a chair. No dance training, ballet barre or weights are necessary! On the floor, use you own body's weight and a small inflatable ball to shape and define your muscles. Your butt will feel smaller and your abs will feel tighter and your arms will get stronger the very first time you do this workout. The routine is 45 minutes long and is broken down into 6 sections and is shot it outside in Montana "I enjoyed every minute of designing this workout for you and I got in the best shape of my life rehearsing it." Tools you need: ballet or soft slippers, a sturdy chair with no arms and a small 7 " inflatable ball.

Very nice barre work
If you have Karen's body reform series, this one will fit right in. Karen uses big arm movements and step side to side moves to warm up. The standing leg series is very doable. Karen uses the squeeze ball for mat work. Planks, pushups, and tricep dips work the upper body. I really liked it and plan to work it in weekly. It's not as hard as Physique 57, but that just means I'm likely to do it more. Scenery is gorgeous. Music by Daveed. Overall, I think Karen has created a real winner. She says you will see real changes if you do this workout 2-3x week, and it is a great choice for those who do not want to use weights for total body work.

Fun, fresh and challenging workout
Karen Voight is an amazing instructor who comes up with fresh and fun ways to exercise. This workout is challenging without being impossible. I would call it intermediate as far as difficulty level.I sweat and burn, but not till I see stars. It works legs, butt, arms, back and abs. You will need a chair, mat, and ball--I use my daughter's 10 inch ball that she kicks around the yard. The workout is filmed on the prairie, so it is refreshing to look at while you work.I highly recommend this workout to Pilates and ballet exercise fans, or anyone who wants a fun workout led by a stellar instructor.

love this workout !
I'm an older gym rat and ballet/ jazz/tap dancer.. so movement and working out for me is as habitual as brushing my teeth.. this is a fun, challenging workout... not so tough that i approach it as "ahh let's get this over with", but ok it's "my time"to work on me..i had an arm injury when this arrived, so i skipped the matwork that had pushups and tricep dips .. and just did legs/ lower bod.. that STILL left me feeling worked out.. it's a definite keeper..

yawn, yawn.....
If you own "physique 57" , save your money. All the exercises are taken out of physique 57 and incorporated in this dvd on a smaller scale.Very dissapointing nothing original. You will get more workout and toning from physique 57.

Good Instructor, but not for me
Let me preface my review by saying that I own many fitness dvd's by the likes of Ellen Barrett, Denise Austin, Kathy Smith, TamiLee Webb, and Suzanne Bowen to name a few. I had read many glowing reviews about Karen Voight and so I decided to purchase her Ballet Body Sculpt through Amazon. Another thing that prompted me to buy this dvd was her use of a mini-ball. Unfortunately, this dvd is not for me and I'm going to have to return it. The pace is too fast and I lost interest within the first ten minutes of the workout.I watched the whole routine once before trying it and I must say that Karen Voight is a good instructor, but she's not a good fit for me!

Karen Voight - Ballet Sculpt -
This is an interesting and different workout. One thing that has caused some issues for me is that I have low back problems and this exercise will definitely aggravate the pain if I'm not careful about the movements. When the exercises are performed small and precisely, I find it to be very effective. So if you have back issues, you might want to try something else if you don't like to do smaller, micro movements. One thing that is disappointing is that the DVD comes in a cheap booklet-style container. I'm not a fan of these as they tend to get buried under other DVDs. And for the price, customers ought to be getting real DVD cases.

Great challenging program
The setting is beautiful and very original (Montana). Karen Voight is an experienced expert who has been designing fitness programs for years. Very challenging class. I had to skip some of the exercices I was not ready to do (yet?), but I felt still very satisfied and revigorated.
