This transmitter and receivers have solid road worthy construction and are really easy to setup. You simply scroll through the colors on each until they match and you're on a paired channel. The receiver will then flash green to indicate it is receiving data. I'm a newbie with dmx lights as you can probably tell from my video but this product and portion of the setup is intuitive and simple. Each consecutive time I come back to use them they are already set and ready to go. I didn't like that I had to plug them in for power at first but now see that as a big plus since I never have to worry about weak batteries and keeping them charged.

This is a set of the icicle style Wireless DMX communication devices. There is one transmitter and 3 receivers in the box. The transmitter has an external antenna that can be rotated into the desired position. The receivers have internal antennas. Each unit is powered by a DC power supply, included in the package. These are rated for indoor use only.These devices are synced to one another using the LED light color code method. A detailed chart is provided in the User's Manual that is included in the box. Basically, you push a momentary button that is recessed in the barrel of each unit -- it is just above the LED lamp. When the colors match between transmitter and receivers, you are synced. No data will be transmitted until there is a load on at least one receiver.These devices have an outer shell constructed of metal. These devices are able to communicate with similar pieces from other manufacturers. I tested these in an auditorium at a distance of 65 ft between transmitter and receiver, and had no issues. These devices provide a convenient way to send DMX data over distance without the hassle of stringing cable.
