Custom Collagen FlexEffects Eggshell Membrane Capsules, 60 Count, 1 Bottle

To state up front, I am receiving a $3.00 Amazon gift card for this review, so honestly I probably would not have written a review otherwise, not because the supplement is not good, but because I am just too lazy. However, the product is actually worth reviewing (if it wasn't, I would probably pass on the gift card), and I do have an interesting perspective because I have not been using it for joint pain. A while back, a dental hygienist told me that collagen with vitamin C improves flabby gums. I tried various hydrolyzed collagen supplements (beef, pork, fish), also gelatin, but none noticeably helped my gums and all make me feel sick ("general malaise"), although it took a while to discern collagen/gelatin as the culprit, or rather something related to glutamate/glutamine (I also do not react well to ever-popular bone broth for this reason). I gave up. Recently, my gums started bothering me again. I wasn't actually looking for anything to help, but I saw an advertisement for eggshell membrane, as a source of collagen, while shopping at Sprouts Market. I went home and read more about it on the Internet and decided to try it. My only two reasons for choosing this brand on Amazon are because it is without fillers, and one of the few reviewers mentioned being able to tolerate this form of collagen better than beef collagen. I have been using this daily for about three weeks, and it definitely does not make me feel sick like other collagen/gelatin supplements. My nails have been growing fast and strong (mentioned by the tolerance reviewer), my skin looks better, and I think my gums are improving too, but I need more time for my gums. This is a simple, inexpensive, long-lasting supplement, well worth taking the risk to experiment, and well deserving of a review. I plan to continue taking it for a while, always with a gram of vitamin C.

Very happy with this product. Glucosamine has never worked well for me. Eggshell membrane /keratin doesn’t. As a bonus it does help to make your nails stronger and hair healthier Not sure why thickness is a question unless they are asking the size of the capsule? Which unfortunately it is so for those that don’t like capsules you won’t be thrilled with this. I take mine with warm water and drink the water with a straw instead of trying to tip my head back. Try it it might help you also.

The research on eggshell membrane is promising for your joints and skin.I have been using this regularly and do think it is helping!I have Ehler’s Danlos and so need collagen, and believe this plus BioSil is helping me!

I only started using this product so I cannot speak to how well it works on pain. However, this is one of those pills I have to take extra care to not breathe while I take it or I will gag from the odor. Does it work? It would takes weeks or longer I think to find out but man does it stink!

I decided to take these post partum to help with hair loss. I’m a vegetarian so I didn’t want to take beef or marine collagen. I notice a difference in the quality of my skin when I take these for sure! I feel like It helps provide elasticity and plumpness to my face. I also think I’ve had less post partum hair loss, but I will see if that is true in a few months!

I got a tip that if you take Now Eggshell Membrane with boswellia it becomes super pain relief. Doing this has given me huge improvement in walking and no major pain.

I had malabsorption. Meaning my digestive system doesn't process much safely in way of foods or supplements. I got gut cramps and nausea from a little bit of this. Not the company's fault so I am sorry to give them a low rating.

I have osteoarthritis in several joints. Tried this as suggestion from my aunt. It took about 2 weeks but could tell the pain was better. I’ll take natural over Rx any day.
