Cute and colourful
Ah, this is a sweet and well executed story about Danny the caterpillar, and his friend Jilly, as they go through their life cycle from birth as caterpillars through to their rebirth as butterflies. It's similar to The Very Hungry Caterpillar but for slightly older kids as there's more text and detail. The book also has cute, colourful illustrations. Recommended.

WORD TEXT CLASHING WITH ILLUSTRATIONS
The actual story is good BUT what is very very annoying is how the words on most of the pages clashed with the illustrations...for me, this is a fundamental mistake.Too many times the black text clashed with black illustrations and throughout the book the story text was an issue for me

Great introduction to nature and the life cycle of butterflies
My daughters and I enjoyed this book. It is very bright and colorful with beautiful pictures. The story is cute and a great introduction to nature. It is a great book for spring time. The story was about the life cycle of a caterpillar to a butterfly and some of the struggles they may encounter. Danny meets a friend and they help each other through the changes they go through and the struggles they face as caterpillars. I was thinking that there could have been a little more science terms in the book to add a little more education to the book, but it still was a very cute book. If children have questions about the life cycle of butterflies after reading the book, it would be a great time for parents to help them look up the answers to their questions. So it is a great starter book for preschool kids to introduce science concepts and the life cycle of butterflies in a fun way.Jessica D. Adams, Author
