15 fairly simple arrangements
This is a nice collection of 15 Enya pieces arranged for "fingerstyle" guitar. Some are given in two staves, one for melody and one for accompaniment (which typically includes melody and is therefore suited to solo play). Others are just on one staff. All of them have tablature. The level is stated to be intermediate, but if this were a "classical" guitar book, the level would be more like lower intermediate. The arrangements sound fine but are really fairly simple. (Compare something like the advanced level "Paul Simon for Classical Guitar" if you want to really see a difference.)Of course, there's nothing wrong with simple arrangements. Your skill level and your tastes will determine whether you find the book satisfactory. I think it's quite good. I would have preferred a little more consistency of presentation, but this is Hal Leonard after all.I do recommend that you use the tablature as a guide to fingering rather than your primary playing source. (I admit that for some genres, especially slack-key, I don't always do this, but I should, I should.)Recommended, not with grand enthusiasm, but with satisfaction.

The Only Arrangement Worth Owning is "Lothlorien."
The arrangements are just OK, better than most in the category of assembly-line "guitar arrangement" books. In this day of wide acceptance of music-plus-tablature notation and alternate tunings, and a renaissance and celebration of contemporary acoustic fingerstyle guitar, publishers continuing to churn out books like this where great music is shoehorned into standard tuning mystifies me. You end up with clumsy, ineffective, and often boring arrangements that fall short of honoring the source material, simply because of some flawed assumption about what a guitar-playing Enya fan -- accomplished enough to play these intermediate to advanced arrangements, difficult ONLY because they were jammed dispassionately into standard tuning -- would be interested in or tolerate. The only arrangement that isn't more work than it's worth is "Lothlorien," which I think is rather well done; though if you can purchase that by itself on one of the sheet music sites, do that. Either that or buy the book used here.

Lovely arrangements
I'm a beginning guitarist and a fan of the beginning-intermediate Fingerpicking series by Hal Leonard. I own several of their titles and have used them regularly for fun and practice. This volume by Larry Beekman was a little surprising because I found them pretty inaccessible at my level in comparison to the songs in other volumes of the same series. Also most of the songs are in drop-D tuning. None of these are flaws in the volume however. It gives me something to work towards and the arrangements are lovely. You can hear Larry Beekman play the arrangements himself on his YouTube channel. The selection of songs are great since the Enya's well-known pieces are included like Watermark, Only Time, May it Be.Like the previous review stated, the book is not for casual players but for more developed fingerpicking players. Beginning players may want to look at other books in the series before attempting this one.

Good collection
This is a nice collection of Enya's music arranged for fingerstyle guitar. My only caution is that this book is for players who already have a developed fingerstyle technique. Casual players will probably be disappointed. If you just want to play melodies and strum the chord look elsewhere.

Great book easy to read
Great book easy to read. Be aware that you must know how to tune in alternate tunings for many of the songs in this book. Thanks!

Unfamiliar songs
These song are moderately challenging to play but the problem I had with them is they were just not familiar at all. Never could really get the melody of any of them. Not one of my favorite in the fingerpicking series

The music heaven!
I think that this collection is the best gift for all fans of this amazing singer. Her melodious voice enchants, because Enya in every song gives his soul. In the work of this talented singer, you can hear Celtic motifs, along with modern tunes. I think that her voice can be called divine and very beautiful. Her songs help to abstract from everyday problems, and at least for the time to plunge into the wonderful world of harmony and love.

Wonderful Arrangements
These arrangements are great although from a personel viewpoint a little advanced for my current fingerpicking abilities on the guitar. People who have a intermediate to advanced fingerpicking style will love these well done arrangements. You can see all these arrangements on you tube played by Larry Beekman, and fantastic they are too. As for myself being new to fingerstyle guitar (basically a strummer) they are something to strive for as i get better, so i can whole heartedly recommend this great collection.....

Not for the beginner.
I am really pleased with this purchase. There are some very nice arrangements in it. But, it is not for a beginner, there is some very challenging pieces in here and a good knowledge of the guitar is needed. Foe the intermediate to advanced player it is excellent.
