OspreySojourn Wheeled Luggage

I purchased this luggage unexpectedly because I didn’t expect to be in the hospital as long as I had been post an amputation of my left leg. Due to complications that have come along with it. I’ve been in the hospital for over a month and will be in the hospital for at least another month or two because of that I needed to purchase additional clothing while in the hospital. Because I live alone I didn’t have someone to fetch my Osprey luggage that was at my house so I purchased this one which was much larger than the one I had at my house and this one has wheels on top of it. And I’m so glad I did. First of all this bag is completely sturdy and has moved from one VA Hospital to another, and from one rehab facility to another. It’s been quite the journey. And this Osprey bag has been a part of it. I love the VA, but I moved rooms a ton of times which is completely inconvenient when you are one legged. Nonetheless, my Osprey bag has been an integral part of my journey and has not let me down so far . It’s packed to the and even though it’s stress tested with all my clothing the zippers have not busted and everything is holding up perfectly. I highly highly highly recommend you take a look at purchasing one of these bags if you need a piece of luggage.

This is my second bag like this from osprey. The first lasted me 14 years and upwards of 250 flights.This new bag is built similarly, holds lots of stuff. And is easy to pack. Really like it.

I have waited a while to submit this review because I wanted to be sure to be as fair and thorough as possible. I was also hoping for a flight to thoroughly put it through its paces but unfortunately, I had to postpone that. This bag has been used a few times now and I'm just not feeling the same level of admiration as others. I don't see the value in this bag at a price of $425 that's not made in the USA with the materials used and the features present. This bag has a flimsy plastic handle, solid nylon wheels, not a very durable nylon fabric, and a frame that I would not classify as very rigid. Granted, there are some things I like about this bag so this is definitely not a bash session of Osprey. I just think this is overpriced for a bag made in Vietnam.Now let's talk about what I do like. First of is the warranty. This ALL MIGHTY GUARANTEE is exceptional. This warranty allows you to send in your bag for any repair at any time for any reason for as long as you own the bag. I also like TSID luggage identification equipped tags. Plenty of zippered compartments and a couple of velcroed ones. There are many tie-downs to secure contents. The build quality is quite good. Overall it's a good bag.

Right off the bat you should know that you will load more than 50lbs of 'stuff' in here. If you have a tendency to overpack and are worried that you will have to pay extra, don't get this luggage. This is ideal for someone who travels with bulky clothing items for whatever activity they are doing. Think skiing or hiking. You'll be able to get all of your gear, plus some, in here. I cannot overemphasize how much space there is with this. I really like that it is a 'fabric' piece of luggage as opposed to hard sided. This allows for so much for more flexibility in your packing. The straps on the outside keep everything inside in place. It has heavy duty and high quality zippers that will stay close. Plenty of ways to transport this. You will absolutely take advantage of the small heavy duty wheels.This brand is high quality and well made. The material takes beating and holds up. Even the baggage handlers on commercial airlines will have a hard time ruining this bag. Very high quality.I love the look as well. The coloring is quite nice.

I don't do a lot of traveling, but I got invited to go on a trip to Japan with a buddy of mine, and all I had to do was pay for my share of the flight, everything else was already included so I figured why not!Being as paranoid as I am about something happening, I want to make sure I had a nice sturdy bag that wouldn't break during my flight as I'm not too sure how roughly package handlers are for a airlines but knowing how it is with shipping companies, I didn't want to take any risk of my bag getting broken into or destroyed.You could probably fit someone inside this bag, I am not kidding. One hundred thirty liters is way more space than I thought it was, but I'm not complaining and I was able to fit quite a lot of gear in here, at the expense of it not fitting in an overhead bin.Everything is superb quality, from the fabric to the zippers, and the straitjacket compression style design of this bag holds everything secure inside, and doesn't let anything bounce around and move, so you know you could have some valuables in here without getting harmed!
