Our grandson loved getting a real tool set. He is 6 y.o. and is always wanting to help his Papa or Daddy.The goggles were broken when we received but we simply removed the lens from both sides. The tools are a little smaller than the adult version so they are perfect for a little person! My husband was surprised how well made the carrying case and tools are. So much call that a win!

My daughter loved getting into all of my tools, now she has her own and loves them. The single best part though is that these are real tools, so after the kids are done with them, you can use them around the house, unlike the other plastic ones. Great for small things like hanging pictures and small furniture assembly. I might just order another set of these instead of going to Harbor Freight next time.

The stubby hammer sealed the deal for me in making the choice on this one. Too many sets, for young children, have long skinny and light hammers. The dexterity and strength needed for accurately hammering anything "fun" doesn't translate well to a 5~6 year old with one of those. A little stubby hammer on the other hand? It has some weight behind it and is much easier to aim for a child that young. The measuring tools are great educators. The screw drivers are obvious must haves. And the safety wearables and apron are great for immersion. I will say that the little clamps did just end up toys more or less. Chomp chomp.Really great set all around and it all fits in a cute little carrying case. If you're ready to trust a kid with some real nails, screws, and other fun stuff; This is a great "first tool set".
