I tried to write a positive review, but the product leaked all over it.
First off, I really wanted this product to work out. I'm tired of getting plastic in my coffee, and I'm tired of replacing broken plastic reusable cups. So, the idea of a stainless steel product really caught my attention. Unfortunately, despite the idea being well conceived, the end design is in desperate need of rework.Issue 1: Flow This version uses a grid-punched stainless steel "filter" that is point-welded to the overall body. Although it's easy to clean and I've never been cut by it, it severely restricts flow as compared to the numerous plastic cups that embed stainless steel mesh as a filter. I suspect this limited flow is a major factor in causing issue (#3) in that it results in additional back-pressure.Issue 2: Lax tolerances on the lid The plastic ring on the lid seems to deform or shrink slightly when used at the default temperatures of a Keurig machine. Because of this, the lid doesn't ever really seal and is held in place only by the pressure added by the top of the machine when it's closed. Because there isn't really much of a seal, the product is prone to the big problem, issue #3.Issue 3: LEAKS! All right, it doesn't leak every time it's used. Only 4/5 times. However, the fact that 1/5 times it leaks so severely that there is hot liquid (so pale it can't even be brewed coffee yet) on the counter surrounding the machine indicates that there is a serious issue with the design. Out of all of the official K-cups and plastic reusable cups I've tried, this is the only product that has caused more than a drop or two of leaking over all.Mitigation of #3: Non-viable. How to stop the leaks? Don't fill the cup. Unfortunately, this means that much of the water will flow over the top of the grounds rather than through them, leading to a very weak cup of coffee.Overall recommendation: Do not buy until the manufacturer solves the issues leading to the leakage. Otherwise, you'll regularly have either a mess to clean up or lackluster coffee.

Great for regular ground coffee in your Keurig
Nice, sturdy metal with hard plastic top screen to allow water in and keep grounds from going out. A seal keeps the lid shut so grinds don’t come out around the top rim. (I have tried it both with and without those k-cup sized coffee filters. If you don’t mind a very little grinds at the bottom of your cup, don’t bother with them. Otherwise, go ahead and use them. They really have no effect on cleaning later. You will still need a good rinse in the sink to get the remaining grounds out after dumping out the majority.) I tried a strong plastic type of this as well, with similar results, but after using both I certainly expect this one to hold up better in the long run.

Does not seal properly
I bought this item to replace my Ekobrew stainless steel refillable Keurig pod. I had high hopes when I started using it, the Moonstar seemed to be well made and a good value. For the Keurig to work properly, a tight seal is required on both the top needle interface and the lid. The diameter of the lid 0-ring on the Moonstar is not sufficient to make a tight seal to the pod. In addition, the needle entry point is slightly too low relative to the needle. The result is that much of the brew water pours around and out of the pod; the coffee is weak and watery. Still looking for a replacement for my four year old Ekobrew, for now, it works better than the Moonstar.

Still spills over the sides
This is my second stainless kcup, This has more holes and the old one I have only have holes in the bottom. However, this still spills water on the sides especially on the full cup option. It doesn't spill if I set it on the small cup option.

Well made product!
Works well in my Keurig coffee brewing machine. I grind my own coffee a bit finer than normal ground coffee so I use a paper filter in this to stop grounds from going through it but it does work well for normally ground coffee without using a filter. Having several of these lets you brew faster (since they are to hot to hold and clean/refill after use). I love them!

Move over Ekobrew!
I purchased 2 of these just for a trial. After the second day I ordered 2 more and may order another pair for the wife`s Keurig. I was a diehard ekobrew fan till I tried these.Easy to fill and clean, the plastic insulators keep from burning your fingers when emptying or cleaning. What`s not too like!
