Not metal as advertised but PLASTIC
Despite what it says in the specifications this kit is a PLASTIC one (polystyrene) not metal. This was disappointing. I would have sent it back but I am a bit of a ST geek so keeping it as it is the original Enterprise kit. Kit looks OK but there is a good deal of flashing on the plastic parts and the kit is rather simple and lacking in detail.

Use a decent glue.
Lovely model and very accurate. When its put together it's a nice size. Very challenging but I enjoyed it. Use decent glue to stick it together and take time with the decals and you will have lots of fun putting it together. The pylons and nacelles are very hard to get right so take care and take extra time with them.
