Great for large bugs!
I have a lot of plastic fly swatters in my house for the occasional fly, but when I had a large beetle I knew the little plastic ones wouldn't do it. This one splattered it flat! Better to use on floors than walls. It left a mark on my white walls that I had to clean later. But definitely hits those bugs like an oncoming truck.

So Far, A Worthwhile Investment.
I was tired of using cheap, flimsy fly swatters because they could never last long enough and/or endure my swings. Moved into a area that's common with flies.. So I went searching for a product that'll make life a bit easier. First time buying something like this.• In short: My first impression was pretty good! It feels like it will last for months or even years! A worthwhile longterm investment. As long as you don't mind cleaning a bit and be careful with the wooden handle.• Long review:- It arrived fine and brand new. Packaging was nice and neat. It helped killed about 30 flies hugging up the window and scattering around the kitchen today.- Swinging felt easy and accurate. But does feel like a weapon if you aren't careful with your strength and aim.- Handle felt sturdy and def. has durability.- I'm unsure how to upkeep the leather besides cleaning off fly guts. Which could be a con if you mind. It's ok to me.• Side note: When it breaks or wears badly, I may update this? If I remember.

Granddaddy of all flyswatters
The leather makes this so much less flimsy than any plastic one you’ll get. I suggest Black so you don’t see the spatter 🤮

Bug killing ninja
A killer. This thing works great and I am 15 for 15 so far. I swear I got one mid air! Stunned it then killed it dead. I have killed flies, spiders and crickets with this thing. I'm OCD so I use a Clorox disinfecting wipe on the leather part to clean it after and that has not caused any damage so far and it's holding up great. It also looks nicer than most so I can leave it hanging out on a hook.

Best flyswatter I've ever used
Yes, it's expensive for a flyswatter. It's definitely a first-world purchase. But, it's made of good quality, thick leather, with an oak handle, securely riveted together.I would like to see the handle made of just a bit thicker piece of wood, because even though it's made of a strong piece of oak, I could see it breaking if you accidentally smacked the handle on the edge of a table or something while swatting at a fly with enough force. You never know where those pesky flies are going to land, and you have to take your opportunities as they come. Sometimes things just happen. The leather on mine seemed a bit dry when I first got it, so I slathered all sides of it with a generous dose of mink oil (had on hand for my boots) before my first use. I let the mink oil soak in for a couple days and wiped off the excess and that made it nice and supple. I've had it almost a year and it's been fine ever since.I also sprayed a couple coats of clear lacquer finish on the handle, to seal it and give the grain a richer look. (That's something, ain't it? Worrying about the look of the grain on the handle of a friggin' fly swatter? I must have all my real problems solved.) The lacquer did spruce it up nicely though. It works very well, feels good in the hand, and is a pleasure to use even when you miss the fly, because you know you're missing with a well-made, good quality fly swatter.Would 100% buy again and I have thought of giving as gifts, but I would order them ahead of time and do the mink oil and lacquer thing again before I gave them out, just to give the leather that supple feel and dress up the handle.

Best swatter ever
Better than any other type of swatter I have ever used! The sturdy wooden stick helps you to hit your mark every time. And the heavy duty leather makes sure that the bugs get a good squashing. I bought this in the spring because I was having trouble with wasps getting into my house. I really hate wasps and they always find ways to sneak up and sting me. But I'm also not interested in spraying wasp spray all over my living room. I was scared that I would miss while swatting them and just make them mad. But this swatter is excellent and after the first couple of times I am now fully confident that I can get those little pests!

Handle too short
We bought this item because it said the length was 17.5 inches (and we thought this meant the handle as it did not specify) . It is not. The flyswatter is shorter then the cheap one we were replacing. It is made strong and we liked the wooded handle but it needs to be much longer. I would return it but it is not worth my time and trouble for $14.

10 out of 10 houseflies disapprove of this product.
Best fly swatter ever! Finally a thing that does what its supposed to do. It not only looks nice with a strury build but works well and hits hard.

Works a treat!
Perfect handle grip and length. Wacks critters easily with a good shot. Not too floppy nor hard. Very thought out product. Highly recommend. Will last forever.

It is too short. Like 4 inches too short.
It REQUIRES a MUCH longer handle. 4 or 5 inches longer. Otherwise it is pretty decent. Much better than the most of the plastic ones with a twisted wire handle. But still, it is wayy too short!
