Work very well if you use a timer
I have 2 of these linked together which i got from amazon and i have to say, they are great. I have fitted a 24hr plug timer so it cuts in every 15min and turns off for 15mins and so on... in good sun the heat from these have got to about 40 oC coming from the solar mats and lasts about 5mins of flow until the temp drops, I'm using a 330gl-ph pump and its seems just right. my pool is 12ft 6900ltrs and before i used the solar mats the temp was 21/22 oC in hot sun, after about 4hrs of using the solar mats with the timer cutting in/out every 15mins the temp was 27 oC, I'm yet to try the mats for more hrs but so far I'm impressed, id say 1 mat is good for a 8ft pool but over that buy 2 mats and you won't be disappointed, just don't use a high power pump as you want the water to flow at a steady rate. i also like the fact you can join many mats together, these mats are 3m long and the water travels down one side and up the other so when you join 2 mats together its got 4 runs of 3m to travel up and down, this give the water longer time in the mate before leaving them into the pool and gives a slow decrease in temp, so a little more warmth before going cold and only 5 mins after the timer cuts out to reheat the water in the sun. going to try and find a timer that i can set to cut in and out every 10mins as this will improve it even more.

Works, just got to be realistic
So I've finally got round to writing a review. The first thing I have to say is this, let's be realistic about what it cannot do. It can not heat 4000lt pool in a few hours. You can have a baking hot sun on it and it will not be able to transfer enough heat energy to the pool. However it will over a course of a day in good sunlight, on a warm "UK summers" day heat the pool by 4 to 5 degrees. I would advise to put a poly tunnel over it to build up more heat and you can achieve 8 degrees in a day in good sunlight.I did achieve a max temperature 34 degrees, though 26 to 28 where more in the normal.I didn't find any major issues with leaks. However the central seam does allow some water to come through though. I would not call it a drip, I would say more consistent with condensation on a window loss wise. I loose more water with the children splashing.I found it relatively straight forward to set it up and get going. If you do buy this, please think carefully where you place it. Think about where the sun will be, whether you have enough pipe to reach it and your pump will be powerful enough. Some pumps, have low head of water, around 1m or so, so you'll struggle if you put it on a roof unless you have 2 pumps or a more powerful pump.Overall I didn't have any issues. You've just have to be realistic at what it can do. If you want a warm pool, within a few days or so and to keep it like that, (and don't mind the cost of energy) then a electric heater is probably the better routeIf you can deal with the pool temperature varying from day to day and don't want to worry about energy costs, its definitely a good choice. I will be using it again and maybe with a few modifications achieve a higher temperature.

No Power Solar Pool Panel
1. Very limited supply of fittings to allow connection to pool - had to rummage through my box of bits to make a connection2. No means of adjusting flow3. Flows so fast through panels that absolutely no heat gain4 Few connections supplied not water tight - should not have to buy silicon5.Cheaper easier much more flexible to make one of your own using black plastic cable trunking6 As photo shows only useful for black heat mat under my own panel7 Suitable only for a paddling pool with a 12 volt feeble pump8 Not fit for purpose - even after fully reading item listing9 Would ask for a 75% refund please10 Please reply to this request

Quick to set up, but...
Good quality product and quick to set up but if the connections are not straight they leak!My panels are up on a platform 2 mts above the ground and as mentioned in other comments when the pump is not running ie overnight air is drawn in through the joints and the panels fill with air.I will as others have said silicone the joints so they will not come apart.Would i buy again, NO

Very effective
We bought two and they are so effective in heating up our 12ft frame pool. Will heat it up in one day. i also bought the bypass kit after much effort, but found that this was not necessary at all, so never used it, and there does not appear to have been any damage to the panels. Dont bother with following that recommendation from the manufacturer therefore.

Really effective
As other reviewers have pointed out it does leak from the main joint, but not much. Aside from that it is astonishingly effective, Heating a 9000 Litre 5m foot pool so much more quickly that whereas last summer it was early evening before it was warm enough to swim in, this year it was ready to go at lunchtime most days. Some people have suggested turning the pump on and off - but this is pointless. Although it makes the water pumping in to the pool feel warmer, thermally it makes no difference overall. We just had the pump running from as soon as the sun shone on the heater. I’ve laid it out on top of a sheet of black corrugated iron which did warm it up a little more quickly. Overall this was a very good addition which I would recommend.

Leaking product
We received the item that the instructions was hard to under stand. We got it all set up then see what looks like a split at bottom end of the product not happy after spending some time working out how to set it up

Top Produkt

Work perfect.
So, did a little research, and found that you need approximately one half the area in solar mat, to the area of the pool. Our pool is 8m x 4m, (around 1.5 m deep on average), so we bought 8 units in total, giving us around 16m2 of solar mat. We already had a sump pump (7000 litres an hour), so just used that to try it out once we had connected them all up, which is fairly easy.We had the pump running 8 hours every day for 10 days, 8 of which were around 25 degrees, with one day of cloud and one day of rain. The pool water was 20 deg celcius, on day one, and had reached 28 degrees by day 10.The temperature difference between the inlet and outlet was around 6 to 7 degrees.Swimming comfortably in the pool in the first week of May, fantastic. We did also buy the cheapest solar cover we could find from Amazon, and covered the pool each night, keeping the water as warm as we could.Really really pleased, just over 400 euros for amazing results.
