Excellent both as a jerk bait or constant retrieve. Golden shad and Danald seem to work best for me.

Lure attracts fish hooks weak
I catch a lot of smallmouth bass. The first day in the water and 2 of 3 hooks bent on a 3lb fish. I play fish relatively easy so mouth is not damaged. Simply put, the hooks are not strong at all. I recommend that you upgrade them.
