These things are amazing!
I've been looking at microspikes for years, but never pulled the trigger. Seeing a 5 day span of ice and a little snow coming our way, I ordered some for my husband and myself just in time. We used them twice yesterday and couldn't be happier with them. They're easy to put on and take off. They're comfortable. And I tried to get a slide going in the sleet covered ice and I couldn't. But in just my boots, I could slide really easily. Now I'm recommending them to everyone. And my brother already ordered 2 pairs yesterday.

Seem well-made, easy to use
I have used Yaktrax for years on my Bean boots when walking our dogs, but they tend to rust and are a pain to stretch onto the boots. I decided to give these hybrid cleats a try, and have been pleased so far! They are a good value for the money. I used them on my trail sneakers, since there are currently lots of icy patches (and snow) on the trails that I run on...I don't run fast or at all far, but hoped that these would help me stick with it through these unfavorable conditions. These fit easily over the sneakers, and provided good traction under the balls of my feet when running, and weren't uncomfortable under foot. When walking, the heel spikes dug in nicely, too. My only "meh" feeling about them was that the toe didn't stay in place, and slowly rolled up and too the side (the picture shows the post-run result, when they cleats started off well-centered.) That could be my fault for putting them on a shoe that is more flexible and narrow-toed than a boot - but it also could be a drawback from the rubber being a bit stretchier than on the other cleats I use, which makes them easier to put on, but maybe also allows them a shift a bit. I'll keep using these, though, and will update my review if I see rust or tears in the rubber developing.

Trouble staying on.
I had high hopes that these would keep me from falling on the ice this year but they were difficult to keep on. They kept pulling off in the front so I had to continually reach down and pull the toe section up. I won't buy them again.
