This is the second time I have used this adhesive product for wooden floor projects. It is easy to use, and has very minimum waste giving excellent value for money.The adhesion and soundproofing are second to non. I would always recommend this if you are going to lay a large natural wooden floor. Before you begin make sure you have everything well prepared to work within a one hour period, if using floor clamps ensure you weight down your first run of boards to prevent lifting. Lightly tamp each board into the lines of adhesive and when the hour has been completed place blocks on wooden stretchers running across the boards to weigh the boards down. Wait a couple of hours and start again, you will be proud of the finish that has been achieved.

My skirting boards were fastened down with nails but having soft walls the nails are not holding it to the walls so using an adhesive was a better choice for me. I did not have an application gun and I wasn’t intending on buying one so the fact this came in soft packaging meant it was easy for me to break it open and apply it using a small trowel. My skirting boards had bowed out a bit so I needed to apply pressure while it dried and thankfully it didn’t take long to dry. There was enough in the package to do all of the skirting boards throughout the house. Having a toddler around I was worried about the nails coming loose so this has been a life saver for me. I felt that the price at the time of review was a fair price to pay and I would buy this if/when I need to do more flooring repairs. Silkabond are a trustworthy brand that I would recommend for any DIYer out there. It’s great 👍

Creamy and tidy application with the advised gun.

I needed glue to inject underneath loose parquet flooring and this stuff was the ideal consistency
