An Initial Guide to the Identification of Mushrooms & Toadstools

Very basic guide to families that's too expensive for what it is really

Excellent for beginners to help ID mushrooms
Although it's essentially a brief booklet I still think this guide is worth it because it contains an incredibly useful piece of info that most mushroom ID books lack, namely a key to reliably assign your find to its genus. From there you can go on, using a regular ID book, to pin it down precisely. With this book I was able to figure out that the mushrooms growing on tree stumps all around here are sulphur tufts. No big deal for anyone with a passing knowledge of mushrooms but it was a big deal for me. So I'm happy to recommend this to any beginners like me.

Really useful field guide / key
Excellent field guide and key, to use in addition to conventional field guide. First saw this on a Fungi Foray with Liz Holden
