I like this bed for several reasons but there are some important aspects to note. While I am not the biggest fan of this type of fluffy fabric, my pets seem to really like it. I have a bed in this style for my dog and figured my cat would like one as well since she likes to go under the covers and we have pretty cold winters. The actual bed is pretty small, the seller is fair in listing this for smaller breeds and "most cats". (I'd probably even say "some cats" but maybe I just know a lot of bigger cats.) My elderly cat is about ~10.5 lbs and while she's not a big cat, she is definitely a bigger cat. She fits but she wouldn't if she wasn't curling up in it. I put her in it and she immediately got out (she's a cat, so not shocking) but she keeps showing interest in it and trying to go back in. I think if it was slightly bigger for her to turn around in, she'd be all in. I knew it'd be a gamble for her but that the foster kitten would love it. I'd stick to the under 10 lbs recommendation by the seller. A big part of the bed are the sides which helps make it cozy but also takes up some space. They do feel like they will compact down quickly because they are only lightly stuffed. It's sort of a catch-22. With a little use a pet on the bigger end of the range would probably "break this in", but they'd have to use it to do that and if it feels small at first, they might not use it... I think toy breeds or kittens, that can grow into this would really love it. The thing I really like about this bed is that the top layer isn't just fabric, it's foam or something so it stays slightly open. All the other beds I have seen like this are fabric that just sits on top of the bed. While they may work fine if your pet is a digger, half the time my dog just sleeps on top of the whole thing instead of snuggled in. I think this is more inviting and helps pets feel secure and cozy, especially if they don't have burrowing instincts (and actually also if they do, although this isn't a heavy duty bed designed for a real burrower). Some pets don't like things on top of them so with this they get the benefit of a cozy space but not the top fully "laying" on them like a blanket. The one issue I did have was with cleaning. I followed the instructions and dried it on the lowest temperature and even chose "less dry" so it wouldn't try to fully dry it. It came out with a slightly less fuzzy look and even a bit matted in places, especially around the edges. I guess it could have been the washer technically. (I washed it in cold as recommended but I used the normal cycle and maybe I should have used delicate?). Either way, I chose the "gray 20 inch" so it's giving a little abominable snowman at this point. I would definitely recommend drying it on fluff, maybe even in a dryer bag or just letting it air dry. I've included some pictures so you can see the width of the opening and where the sides hit as well as the fabric after washing. (Both pictures are after washing but different areas of the bed.) Overall, I wish this bed came in a bigger size, for me personally. I really like the top and the concept and think it will work well for smaller pets but I would recommend laundering sparingly and with caution.

This thing is so small my 10lb dog cant fit in it its a rip off !!!!!
