Baby's First Words Board book – January 1, 2017

Both of my sons (18 months, who I had in mind when I purchased this) and my 3 year old really enjoy this book. I initially was trying to find more "first word" books, and I am always looking to expand my library with books featuring diverse characters, so I snapped this up straight away. Its a gem! For anyone concerned about the two dads aspect- my 3 year old asked me where's the mommy. "this baby doesn't have a mommy, she has two daddies." End of "difficult" discussion. From then on, it was "look the other daddy is coming home from work." He also likes finding the woolly mammoth throughout the book. My 18 month old wants to read this books like 50 times a day. The colors are vibrant and the illustrations are very cute, and there's plenty to look at on each page spread. It's a great little vocabulary book, and I especially like that for the most part it's laid out in cohesive scenes instead of just random words/pictures on blank space.

People underestimate how important it is to see families like yours in children's books. Really glad we found this book for our tot!

The cutest book! My 18 month old has loved this book for the past several months. He recognizes many familiar objects from his daily life and loves to name them or point to have me name them. It has been great for his vocabulary development. We also love the representation of a two-father household. We call the fathers “Daddy” and Papa”. Highly recommend this adorable book!

My two-year-old loves this book. The art is cute and quirky. He loves to study the pictures and find new things to name.

This is a great book for any toddler but especially for those with same sex parents

My son loves this book! It's a great way to teach words/images & have it be meaningful in the house/every day activities. So glad we found this book at the library & then purchased it.
