I love German WWII helmets, whether they’re the M-42 or M-35 versions. Although this particular helmet looked convincingly-authentic on Amazon, its price was somewhat intimidating; pricing is definitely not competitive [versus other offerings on the market]; in fact, it’s some 75% more-expensive than other, similar reproduction-helmets. While higher-costs often translate into better-quality, I wasn’t sure about this product. However, I decided to buy it (since I could return it if necessary).However, once I received the helmet, I was completely-surprised; it arrived in excellent-condition, and at least 15 days before its ETA. This is a brand-new M-42 helmet! It’s big, heavy (but not too heavy), and fits nicely on my head. So, the quality of the product most-definitely justifies the cost. I already own one WWII German WWII “repro” helmet from another vendor at half the price – but the size/quality just don’t compare to this one.No doubt I’m very happy with “Epic Militaria”. Reproduction WW2 German Army M35 STEEL HELMET with Leather Liner & Chin Strap (XXL (62/63 cm))A note about my new M-35 helmet – it’s an XXL (intended for a size 62-63 “head”). My own hat-size is 7 7/8 or “Size-62”; my field-caps fit perfectly, with room to spare (without looking sloppy). My M-35 helmet is “HUGE”, which is great! It’s big, roomy, and looks perfect once I’m in full-gear-mode (e.g., uniform, smocks, field-gear, pouches, etc.). The helmet’s leather strap snugly-secures my helmet to my head.However, the fit is still a bit too large, and consequently my helmet will slightly “wobble” while walking; it even slides a bit atop my head when running. I was expecting this, because I wanted a large helmet. My solution – I wear a jeep-cap, beanie-cap, or an actual field-cap underneath my helmet; this makes for a perfect fit. “Breathability” could prove an issue, especially in south Florida, but then again, I don’t expect to wear the helmet 24/7.The helmet is top-quality, and well-worth the money: well-constructed, aesthetically pleasing, and authentic in every detail. I have had difficulty fitting “repro” covers onto these helmets, so I usually use one of my spare ACH X-Large covers; true, it does not comply with a strictly-authentic look, but I’m not a reenactor; I’m more concerned with protecting my helmet from the elements and/or accidental drops.FYI – if you prefer wearing your helmet’s “lip” directly over your eyes, and your head-size is a “62”, you may want to consider a 60-61 liner (otherwise, the base of the helmet might hit your neck when raising your head). Since I prefer wearing my helmet with its lip several inches above my nose, and resting more-or-less on the middle-to-back end of my head, the neck-issue for me is moot. While a hassle, and costly, consider buying two helmets of varying sizing – once you’ve determined the best fit, you can send the other back, and in the future order the size that fits you best. I didn’t go that route, but I lucked out, too, on the sizing.

My son has an obsession for collecting head gear & this was of high quality. I was very pleased with it & feel it was very much worth the $

I previously bought an m35 from another competitor that is said to have the best quality but this helmet blows the competition out of the water the fit and finish is better and all the rivets are tight and secure unlike the competitors which had loose rivets I would highly recommend this to anyone for there collection or for Reenactments
