Horse didn’t like bitter taste
I usually buy another brand for horses, which tastes slightly sweet. Had to substitute this because the other brand wasn’t available. My horse didn’t like it, so I tasted it - it’s bitter. My Shetlands, however, don’t seem to mind. It looks like most horses are OK with it, but a fussy eater might not be.
