Defective/Shock Hazard
Really was excited to finally have a product for the birds, and outside cats would have a place to drink water during the frozen months. Product seamed to work fine, but could not understand why no one was using, what was a habitual spot (birdbath) they drink from year round. After a week, i went to check on the item since NOBODY was drinking from it any more. When i put my hand in the water, and touched the item, I was literally shocked. This explans why nobody was using !! I double checked, and yes, was shocked again, and discovered there was an electrical currrent even on the top level of water. This should never happen!! Needless to say, this product is defective, and dangerous.

Not worth it
I bought this in December, when we were starting to get freezing temps. At first it sort of worked, enough to keep the water directly above it in a liquid state. But even then it was like a little ice fishing hole, and I moved it to the edge to make the water easier to access for the birds. After a couple days of temps under 20 degrees in January it stopped working completely. Waste of money.

Excellent customer service
The first bird bath heater I received did not work. I contacted the vendor and they quickly sent a replacement. The new heater is working fine. 5 stars for excellent customer service !

Bird bath heater doesnāt work.
I received the bird bath heater on 1/5/24 and placed in my bird bath soon afterwards. This is what it looks like today. Frozen over. Kaput. Need I say more! Let the picture be my review.

Ice Free bath only lasted two weeks.
I was particularly interested in these birdbath heaters because the promise that they could keep the bath ice free with only 60 watts use. The first two weeks the bath was ice free but then the nights were only in the low 30's but now that the nights routinely hit the mid 20s I find the top two inches of the bath are frozen solid and the bottom only right around the heater is still liquid. The other birdbath heater I have running is 120 watts and it is still ice free, so I guess either 60 watts just can't cut New England weather, or the unit has started to fail. There is no pilot-light or way to see if it is on.

Worked for a little over a month.
Great little heater until it just quit working. I started using it in the beginning of January since we were getting some colder days. Nothing too harsh. Walked out today to change out the water and it was frozen. Tried plugging it into a different outlet etc. and it just quit working. Rather disappointing to say the least. Looking for another option for replacement.

Small price to pay(literally!!!) to provide water in the winter!!!
This birdbath warmer is a small price to pay (literally!!!)to provide water in the winter for the birds (& even other wildlife). Is it perfect?ānoā¦but it works!!! We bought 2 of these heaters. The picture was taken when it was about 7 degrees outside. Even when it dropped below zero hereā¦there was still a bit of water available.
