NaturoPure Surround Air Multi-Tech XJ-3000E Air Purifier with HEPA/Caron/Pre-Filter and Germicidal UV lamp

I was skeptical. The price is good. How would it perform?My 10 year old daughter suffers from allergies. Her doctor suggested using the Neti-pot and getting an air purifier in addition to her medication. Neti-pot is impossible; she's 10 and screams when I use it on myself.We used to send her to be dosed up on whatever she could handle just to allow her to sleep. After ONE day with this purifier, we opted to lower the medication to just a little bit of Delsym. By day two, she didn't need anything at bedtime.There are no more dark circles around her eyes, she no longer coughs, is more rested and performing better in school.One crazy observation: she left a cup of water in her room for 3 days. It was in a dark plastic cup so I figured I'd see a ton of dust and "yuck" floating on the water. There was none!!I've now recommended this to three people and am now ordering two more for our home. Quick shippin too!!

My boyfriend and I purchased this air purifier because it was the only one within our price range that also covered the amount of space we needed. My boyfriend is allergic to cats, but we decided to adopt one anyway. With a combination of claritin, this air purifier, visine, and a small plant (to offset the ionizer), he's had very mild reactions to our sweet new kitty.Pros:-On/off switch for ionizer, which can release ozone (toxic). We bought a small plant to offset the ionizer, but we rarely turn it on.-3 speed settngs.-Good for open apartments or large rooms. Our open area is nearly 500sq.ft.-HEPA filter, great to pick up allergens like pet dander.Cons:- highest setting gets a little loud sometimes.- releases cool air. If we purchased this in the summer, I'd probably list it as a pro.

This is actually my second one. The first one that I ordered completely quit working. Now I am in no way disrespecting Surround Air here because in their defense I contacted them and their customer service was great. The said that it was covered under warrantee and that I just needed to send it to them and they would take care of it. Well I am one of the world’s greatest procrastinators so by the time that the warrantee was up it was too late. So to punish myself I just ordered another one. The new one however is not named a surround air there is a completely different name on it, but it looks the exact same and takes the same filter. But so far it is working as advertised.

My allergies were out of control and medication just wasn't doing the job anymore. I bought this air purifier, put it in my living room and ran it on high for the first few days. Within 48 hours I forgot about taking any allergy medication. Now I usually run it on low or medium unless I start feeling allergy symptoms, then I bump it up again for awhile. As long as I'm home, my allergies are not making my life miserable and for the first time in years, I'm not taking allergy medication.

i own a different model which i have at work. this one is alittle looud, but works as well as the 3000D

This unit performs as advertised. I have a room with a moldy smell and 24 hours after using this unit the room smelled fresh. My allergies also lessened and I was able to wake in the morning without a stopped up nose. For the money this is an excellent buy.

Have newborn twins,large dog, cat. This item works. No more smells. Fresh air feeling again.

This did not live up to the boasting of prior reviews. It arrived damaged, cosmetically, but when tested with household odors did not work as expected.
