I bought these for my husband and yes they work! He has work boots, cowboy boots and tennis shoes. All of which get very well used and stinky. A day or two with these sitting in them, and they clear up so much!! A good purchase for sure!

I use charcoal bags in both my vehicle and my wife's. I use them for my work boots as well. I ordered this pack of bags to be able to place around the house. They are a wonderful size to toss in an area that needs some deodorizing (or you're preventing odor preferably). There's enough in the pack that you can be liberal in where you place them. I keep them tucked in various parts of the house, and I have truly noticed a difference. Anyway, I've been using charcoal bags from various brands for years, and these work just as well as any others I've had. I placed one next to my senior cat's litter box and wow!! The bathroom doesn't smell like a bathroom anymore! As he gets into his oldest years, he doesn't seem to be fond of keeping his litter box... tidy... like he once did. So he leaves the lovely smells on top of the litter to bless our noses instead of it being safely buried. If I didn't go to the bathroom for some time and catch it, it didn't take long to smell up that space. That is no longer an issue of mine. Just one little charcoal bag cured that little problem. Get some for yourself and throw them around the house. Smell the difference. I recommend using them in the kitchen, in the fridge/freezer (works the same as baking soda boxes), in shoes or work boots, bathrooms and pet areas, in your car or truck, in playrooms, etc. There are many areas that could qualify for a little TLC in the smell department.

I keep my golf shoes in the trunk. These do well to keep them from stinking up the entire car.

These charcoal shoe deodorizer bags work well for absorbing odor in shoes. But, they do not eliminate the source of the odor. The only way to eliminate the source of the odor is to thoroughly kill the nasty bacteria on the insoles of your shoes. There are several products on the market for this. I think these charcoal bags are worth it but they need to be used in conjunction with proper cleaning of the shoe's insoles. I put two of these bags in my sneakers immediately after wearing and they do a good job of absorbing odors. I really hate wearing socks with my sneakers, so my Converse All-Stars tend to get a tad offensive. But I've found that I can manage that by cleaning up the nasty bacteria and using the charcoal bags. Then I can keep going sock free with my fresh smelling Converse sneakers. ;-)

My closet has a weird smell whenever after I dried my clothes and it's been irritating me for a while. I have purchased air freshener several times in a local store, but the smell wouldn't just go away after a few days. While I was browsing on the site, I found out about this product and I bought it considering the price was alright in my budget. After arrival, I opened the box and found that there were several bags of those odorless packet inside. I ripped one of those packets and tried to smell to see if there are any inorganic things that were within the bag. To my surprise, it was completely green and there weren't any weird smell on it. I have left the packet onto my closet after wards. Till this day, the bag is still going strong and it didn't smell at all. Most importantly of course, was that my closet didn't have anymore weird smell after leaving it for a couple of days!

Let me just put this out into the Amazon-sphere... My feet and shoes come together to combine a scent that is...quite frankly...embarrassing. And you know what is even worse? I started training for a half marathon, so my running shoes were becoming malodorous to the max.So what did I do about it? I bought charcoal inserts for my shoes. And guess what? They WORK!!!All of my running shoes get the charcoal insert treatment as soon as I put them away. And I can report, that whenever I sniff my shoes there is no odor. The inserts have helped keep the stink out of my shoes and from permeating my closet. I absolutely recommend this product for anyone that is looking to neutralize their stinky shoes. No scent is a good scent.

When we travel we come home and house smells musty for 4-5 days until “lived in” again.I’m hoping these packets of charcoal help. Only downside: I ordered after a 10 day trip this time in hopes The packets would work quickly to help the mustiness. It took 8 days to arrive. By that time I had aired the house. I’ll use next time we travel and see if they work.

These work great! I haven’t hamper in my small walk in closet and I bought these to curb the musty odor that tends to build up form dirty laundry and this does the trick!! I tossed one in each basket and stored some around the bin as well and overnight, no more odor! They also have no smell to them which is nice because I like to use a diffuser or a wall plug for my own preferred scents. I love that there is 12 too because now I have extras for a gym bag when gyms reopen!
