Solid training tool
This is my second SIRT training pistol, which I acquired to use with my LASR (Laser Activated Shot Reporter) system. This has both the laser and the infrared capabilities. The laser is installed as a default.Replacing the module is just a matter of using a punch to push the pins along the slide and a pin that secures the module.This comes with one magazine. I recommend purchasing magazines elsewhere ($23) since they’re overpriced here on Amazon.This does NOT come with a carrying case, protective glasses (against the laser), or the tool that came with my first SIRT Pistol.The trigger action is mushy and has a positive click. It does not replicate the Glock action. The trigger weight is about 5-6 lbs. the slide does not move. An advantage is that the rear sight can be replaced with a conventional sight. I have not tried replacing the front sight.The magazine release works like a regular Glock. The magazine, itself, is weighted, along the lines of a real magazine. A real Glock magazine will fit, but it will not drop free, like the actual NLT SIRT magazine will.There are no sound effects that come from this pistol.The laser alignment can be adjusted as needed to zero the trainer.I have used this with a MantisX trainer, several laser targets, and iPhone iOS based laser training systems. I have also used this as an adjunct to magazine changes, dry fire drills, and practicing point shooting. It is an excellent training aid, and it’s worth the price.Overall, I have been pleased enough to buy a second SIRT Pistol.Note: Replacing the laser with infrared, however, required a bit of sanding on my part to make it fit. The laser has a beveled underside and the IR is squared off.I can’t figure out how to replace the front sight. It doesn’t look exactly the same as a Glock front sight stake.

Really enjoy using it for training!
Great training tool. Only issue was I did have to smoothen out inside and outside of the trigger guard where the 2 molds were joined to avoid blisters. I did remove one star for this issue. It is a very easy issue to solve though. It works great with my Smokeless Range Simulator!

Works but disappointed
My SIrt pistol arrived yesterday with an extra laser module in the box. I watched the video then attempted to train with the pistol. To my dismay, nothing happened. I followed the disassembly instructions and discovered the installed battery was dead. I installed another battery, followed the trouble-shooting instructions, but still nothing. I removed the laser module and installed the extra module that was in the box. The laser now functions as advertised. Disappointed that there was not more attention to detail for 3 Bills.

Good for seeing where you need correction.
I just trained with one of these tonight and it was amazing. I was able to see what I was doing wrong to correct problems.
