The best...
Ever since being issued Belleville boots in the military from the 2000s, Ive only used Belleville. They are a little more expensive, but you can see and feel the difference. It feels like a ultra premium boot. Perfect balance of comfort and stability. The boots I deployed to Afghanistan, Iraq and Kuwait starting in 2009 I still wear today as a work/casual boot. Its tough as a work boot that you can use as a casual boot. Still looks good, with lots of grip. Im convinced that it will last longer than I will. Its that good. It feels like a premium soft sneaker on your foot, but able to walk miles in. I dont know how, but it stays cool on hot days, warm on cold days while staying dry when walking through water

No bootstraps, difficult to quickly lace
I've previously purchased several pairs of boots from this company over the years and have been immensely pleased. In the past, the boots were some of the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. My feet have always felt impervious to harm in them. This current iteration of boots, however, leaves much to be desired. While they still are comfortable and protect as well as ever, there are some features which were left out that make these a real pain in the butt to put on and take off. Namely, there is no bootstrap on the back of the boot. Without the bootstrap these can be very difficult to quickly put on. Also, the laces on the old boots could be quickly pulled for a super snug fit. These laces and eyelets do not offer that quick lace-up experience. These two problems combined make these particular boots very difficult to put on and remove. I don't know why the design was changed, because this is a huge step backwards. I'm going to have to take these to a boot shop to have them worked on right out of the box to make them more wearable. Belleville dropped the ball on this design.

Perfection
Love these boots! Easy to lace, easy to get your foot in and alright with comfort. Wish they had a little more cushion in the insoles but, that’s nothing store bought inserts can’t fix. Love that they have 550 type laces that are long. I’ve got small feet and it’s always hard to find coyote brown steel toe boots for work.

No inserts?
I am not sure if these boots came with inserts inside them already like how boots normally do but either mine were stolen or they didn’t come with them. So other then that they are decent a bit loose I’ve only had them about 6 days now but they seem to be holding up alright.

Military refusal
My unit recently bought these in bulk for a deployment. Over 200 people had to get boots replaced because of Plantar fasciitis. Manufacturer provided next higher assembly and they had fitting issues where troops preferred this version. Individuals purchased boots from rocky and bates and the pain disappeared. These boots are not recommended for military issue and not worth the money.
