Sydney Black & Walnut Large 2 Door 2 Drawer Sideboard

Very fast delivery, the earliest date was stated to be 31/12/15, but it was delivered on 30/12/15, thankfully we had just returned home.The sideboard itself is fine. It looks good once assembled, but it is cheaply made. Poor manufacturing resulted in a slight bit of damage when I put it together. It would just happen to be the top as well, a dowl hole wasn't drilled deep enough, so when it was assembled it split a piece of the top. I managed to glue this down and it isn't too visible. The instructions are abysmal, to the extent that I had assembled it and just had the doors to put on, when I found that the panels were on opposite sides and the hinges were too high. The instructions give no indication!!I had to strip it all apart and re-assemble. Luckily the glue hadn't set, as I use glue when assembling these things, to give extra strength in the joints.The handles and feet are cheap shoddy plastic, so after the new year the handles will be getting replaced with something a bit better quality.

When made up this item is very stylish with plenty of room for storage in the cupboards/draws & looks good in our living room. It arrived before it was due so that was good. The downside was that it wasn't easy to assemble and the instructions were not too clear. My husband who is good at DIY generally took over an evening to fathom it out but once he did it was OK. Unfortunately, parts were damaged, i.e., the back which he managed to hide by turning the piece round another way (the missing chunk was in the box so must have broken off in transit) Also, one of the cupboard shelves was damaged at the front edge but can only be noticed obviously when the door is open so luckily the damaged bits could be disguised as he didn't want the hassle of sending it back having got so far with assembly. There is also a small round chip on the right hand black door which we'll try to fill in with black marker pen or something similar. The black doors are matt and attract a lot of dust and fingerprints so I will have to find out the best way to clean it as I think any polish would most probably smear and spoil the effect. The product is good value if notdamaged so advice is to check all parts before attempting assembly as we've probably just been unlucky!

We just bought a 55" 4K TV and wanted something to stand it on. My wife saw this and liked the pictures.It arrived in 3 boxes (be aware they are heavy) and probably took me about 1.5 hours to put together. One thing I will say is that the instruction leaflet didn't quite match the product e.g. it shows that you tack the back panels on with nails but mine had slots to slide them in.Overall we love it and it looks really good in our living room.Jeremy

thought it was going to bve sturdier than it looked, and its quite difficult to put to gether, the draws are very thin, and the back of the cabinet is dreadfull.

Good quality sideboard. Better quality than other similar DIY furniture. I would have given 5 stars if instructions were better. If you use to assemble this type of furniture, it will be easy but I still manage to put one part on opposite side. Also some instructions are not coincidentally with actual parts. However did manage to assemble it but clear and step by step instructions would be better. Seen reviews talking about damaged parts but mine were intact.

I ordered this sideboard on Sunday evening of last week it was delivered by Tuesday at least 3 days before the estimated delivery , my husband put it together by himself , it looks lovely . I wish I’d bought the tv unit as well now because it was cheaper to buy both together I’m very happy with it

Free next day delivery via FedEx. Easy enough to put together for the flat pack savvy although the instructions may be a little basic for those who aren't. Looks really good when built. Had doubts about the sturdiness before purchase but very impressed at the finished product, completely solid. Very pleased.

Received this today. Pretty easy lot put together if you are good at this sort of thing. Came in 3 boxes. Just 2 issues. 1 was the fact I had emailed the seller to ask it to be delivered on a certain day as the estimated time gave us a 3 day expected, although it did come on the day I had requested I had no message back from the seller to tell me this was ok so was a bit worried I may not of received it. 2nd is that the amount of screws and bits needed to put together did not match what we had and what instructions said we would have, again this was not a problem as when we were putting tougher we found that we had the right amount of bits just the instuctions are either old and not been updated or have been put down wrong, so if you do buy don't panic you haven't got enough bits!!! Altogether very happy
