Really nice sticky rice in a reasonable price.

This 10kg of sticky rice from Silk Road is really moreish as the flavour is delicate and it has a good sticky texture without being too clumpy. This rice does need a few hours of pre-soaking to help it along if you are steaming it in the traditional way. I pre-soak my rice for at least 3 hours and then micro wave it with the water level just covering the rice. Then the rice sits in an insulated state - the tea cosy works - to let the rice rest and cook further. This gives a soft and very pliable texture. This rice is good eaten warm rather than straight from cooking.
