The media could not be loaded.  I spent so much time looking for something like this!! As someone who travels a lot for work, I’m always struggling to find a reliable person to come over to feed my cat with her wet food. All wet food feeders I had found so far used ice to keep the food, and it means it will be good for maybe a bit more than 12h. I was about to look for an engineer to design something that was like a “mini fridge” for wet food, until I found this device right when I was in a trip and the person who was supposed to feed my cat refused to enter the apartment because the cat was hissing inside. I have to say my cat was not comfortable with the device at first. She was scared of all noises coming from the feeder and was refusing to eat from it. It took me more than a week to get her used to it, and I had to be patient and slowly teach my cat to approach the feeder and eat from it. But once she got used to it, was a whole peace of mind!!! I had to move it to another location and it seems to have helped my cat to feel more comfortable. The device is so far very reliable, easy to set up the feeding schedule. the device won’t let you set up a feeding schedule that ends more than 72h after you first set it up which means 3 days this the maximum you can be away without having something coming over to feed your cat. But still, it’s a breeze!!! Some things to consider: The compartments are pretty big. As my cat does not eat much at once, there usually food remaining when the feeding time is over and the lid is closed. For me it’s good because in my recent trip, I was able to set up a new feeding schedule and my cat had a bit more food to wait for me to come home in the evening. It would be much better to have 5 smaller compartments and being able to feed the cat 5 days, but I cannot complain!! The device is sturdy, the app is pretty good and easy to set up the feeding schedule. It gives you the report of how many times you cat came to eat, and how long the cat took eating. There was a power outage while I was away but it did not disturb the feeding schedule.Bear in mind the device is pretty tall and won’t be suitable for kittens. My cat is 9lb and she can eat easily from the compartment (that is kinda deep), but it will be hard for smaller kitties.I can say I’m VERY HAPPY so far with this device.

PROs:- Easy to install, works on both US and EU power levels- My cat happily eats from it- Three compartments suit my need well- As long as I've put food in the bowls I can manually decide to make a feed through the app whenever I wantCONs:- It generates a lot of excess heat (not only the power converter). I'll move it out of my bedroom as soon as my cat is ready for that- It's finicky to set up a meal schedule and actually make it automatically repeat each day (so far I've failed). There should be much more detailed instructions on this- I cannot choose to make it fully turn off without removing the batteries. A simple "OFF" button in the app would be welcome.

This is amazing! Game changer. Cats love routine and this is great! Works well and keeps food cool. Cats generally don’t like cold food and this brings the food to cool room temperature. A time saver for me. Like others have said. Wish it was not a plastic food bowl and would have loved a white color machine instead of black only. Perhaps they will do it later but I am not about to wait. Programming is easy and you can label each of three trays and option to repeat to save in programming time. Only little thing is the wipe the condensation in one area each time. No biggy. Two thumbs up!

I am very glad I spent a week trying (and failing) to get the Polar to function, rather than just trusting it and having my cat starve.The unit I received unit connects to WiFi without issue. I know because I have disconnected, reset, reconnected, and switched between multiple 2.4GHz networks in a desperate attempt to keep my cat fed for an upcoming trip. Firmware is updated without issue to the latest firmware (V2.0.24, the latest according to the app at the time of writing)The chiller, presumably a Peltier junction, works nicely. The door opens at the scheduled feeding time and when triggered manually. And that's it. The food door simply never closes. The rotating tray is correctly installed, the food dish is not overfilled, and there are no obstructions to the door's movement.When attempting to manually close the door using the Close Now button in the app, I am told that my pet is eating. What my pet is actually doing is sleeping. I am standing in my kitchen looking at the feeder which I have placed on top of a trash can, no less than 6 feet from any object other than the floor. Still, the unit insists that the door cannot be closed because my "pet is eating". The unit will stay like this indefinitely as the first meal fossilizes, never closing the door, never advancing the meal.Is it a faulty proximity sensor? Is it a faulty app? Is it something else? I will never know because this is going in a box back where it came from. At least I have something to do this weekend instead of the trip I had planned.
