Quality movie- you can watch it with your grandma and teens without getting embarrassed.
Probably could have used a bigger budget to make it better-my only complaint.Self-absorbed rich dude falls in love with hardworking middle class woman. But as in all romance stories - it’s everything that happens in between that matters. The usage of stereotypes isn’t lazy but tastefully used to better convey the story. While the storyline is moderately predictable it’s fresh. It takes it’s time without dragging. It builds romance without any sex scenes although it does have one “steamy” scene technically clothing does come off but it shows nothing inappropriate that couldn’t be done in public or even in front of your own grandma. Definitely rewatching and recommending

Lighthearted, fun and clean
I enjoyed the refreshing break from dark themes in cinema. I love cooking and gardening, the imagery and discussion of recipes were lovely and inspiring.

I WILL HAVE ONE ORDER OF A GREAT FIVE STAR MOVIE
NO SPOILERS. I LOVE ROMANTIC COMEDIES, AND THIS WAS A FIVE CHILI PEPPER AFFAIR, AS YOU WILL SEE. SET IN NEW MEXICO, IDO NOT KNOW WHICH WAS FINER, WATCHING THE PLOT OR THE DELICIOUS FOOD. IN A LARGE CORPORATE OFFICE IN THESTATE, A FAST FOOD CHAIN SPECIALIZING IN MEXICAN CUISINE, SENDS ITS CORPORATE SPIES TO ALL PARTS OF THE USA TOGATHER INTEL AND RECIPES FOR ITS DROWNING BUSINESS. THE SON OF THE BOSS, A LAWYER WHO IS MOST LAZY, MUST GO TO THE BORDER AREA AND SURVEIL. HE HAS JUST HAD HIS GIRLFRIEND DITCH HIM, IS IS NOT VERY JOYFUL. HE ARRIVES AT ANAPPARENTLY FAMOUS LOCAL RESTAURANT KNOWN FOR ITS DISHES BASED ON ITS HOME GROWN CHILI PEPPERS, A GREAT FAMILY SECRET. AFTER MANY COMPLICATIONS HE FALLS HEAD OVER HEELS IN LOVE WITH THE DIVORCED OWNER AND HER DARLINGDAUGHTER. BUT LIFE IS NOT SO SIMPLE, AS YOU WILL SEE. AS THE DENOUEMENT AND FINALE ARRIVE, I HOPE YOU WILL AGREETHIS IS ONE OF THE MOST CHARMING ROMANTIC COMEDIES MADE IN A LONG TIME. PLEASE ENJOY.

Keeps me Interested
Loved the culture, cooking and restaurant, and scenery. The storyline is entertaining as a romance and adds flair with the cultural influence.

Predictable but better than a Hallmark movie
this was surprisingly engaging & well done , though very predictable. Cinematography was excellent, script- was so-so. Main couple were pretty good but supporting cast was cringy. Still it was better than most Hallmark movies & it didn't have that dated tentative piano music that Hallmark is known for :P

Something's Cooking In the Kitchen and It's Spelled LOVE.
I loved the storyline and how they actually showed cooking, versus just talking about it. The vibrant colors of the small village in comparison to the cold and colorless corporate world of Irvine, California. The main actor from "My Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and the the female lead had great chemistry. It was a fun lighthearted movie.
