Handy
Only draw back is it does not acknowledge AVID chips. So if they have one the scanner will not pick it up. Otherwise is scanned the right other brands of chips we used at the clinic.

Works on chips no older then 10 yrs
Worked on my 1 yr old dog.Does not work on older chips.. would not read my 16 year old cat's chip...But that was stated before hand, so it was expected

Not good for old chips
My dog has been microchipped in 2013 and this device doesn’t read the 10 digit number. I had to return it. It might work for the new 15 digit numbers though, I don’t know.

Great pocket sized microchip reader
This little micro chip reader is fantastic. It is small but quickly picks up a chip and displays. Small enough to carry in your pocket and for travel, especially if you are prone to rescuing dogs!
