Death metal at its lowest, and that's a good thing
Autopsy is the kind of band for people who play Slayer with their dates ("God Hates Us All" or "Christ Illusion")right after they get out of Sunday school for quiet meditative inspiration. The kind of band that makes jackhammers sound like butterflies. The kind that could make it possible for Cannibal Corpse to sponsor their own Girl Scout troop. You get the picture. In other words, it's great stuff. Autopsy may not have sold as many albums as CC or perhaps Death or Morbid Angel, but in terms of pure unadulterated nasty death metal, their fans are ferociously devoted, and other musicians cite them as huge influences. After a dry spell in the 'OO's following their early heyday in the late '80's, Autopsy came roaring back on the scene with a crushing new album "Macabre Eternal" that showed they still had more chops and brutality than anybody out there. That return was successful enough for Chris Reifert and company to re-record most of their numerous EP's and write some new material for the equally punishing "All Tomorrow's Funerals". Packed with over 70 minutes of the heaviest riffage ever created by mortals, Autopsy have served notice to all comers that they are truly kings of the death metal mountain. This blend of gory lyrics that are equally as vile as anything Cannibal Corpse have written and a positively lethal barrage of sound that recalls the intensity sometimes of the most intense hardcore of the '80's, technical chops and vocals that come straight out of a padded cell define "All Tomorrow's Funerals". It doesn't sound like a compilation CD at all. For my money not having heard the original EP's or early albums, it could just as easily be the new all original followup to "Macabre Eternal". I listened to this on my way home on the interstate on a business trip and I'm glad I had cruise control because this band gives you the option of giving in to their attack or hitting the ditch trying to get the hell out of the way. It's the purest essence of the nastiest meanest metal music ever recorded, and not for lightweights. You're either metal enough to handle this incredible band or you aren't. Autopsy offer no room for fence straddlers. It simply doesn't get any more brutal than this.

All Tomorrow's Funerals
Contains Autopsy in it's purest form. In my opinion, the Eps are Autopsy's best works. Whether it be 2010's The Tomb Within, which showed Autopsy was not only back- but with a vengeance. (sorry for the cliche) But All Tomorrow's Funerals is a compilation that contains other great EP's like my favorite Autopsy release to date: Fiend For Blood. Possibly the coolestEP to be put out by any death metal band period. Other cool gems: Retribution for the dead, the Horrific Obsession single, and5 newer instant classics. Comes in a cool booklet if you decide to get the CD- and you should if you are a real fan. Thank you Peaceville for re-releasing the classics! If I had to describe them to someone who never heard of Autopsy- OLD SCHOOL DEATH METAL! No gimmicky drum triggers, while the band gets a little technical- it's not nearly as self indulgent as modern death metal gets, rather it's more to the point, guitars are low tuned but memorable in terms of the riffing, lots of harmonies- most of which are dissonant and diseased sounding. The vocals- are INSANE! Drummer Chris Reiffert handles a majority of them- and my god...he's just nuts!Fiend For Blood is worth it alone for the bass playing...Steve Digiorgio...need I say more? No? Good. Buy it!

Autopsy influence . . .
Perfect for my son as a Christmas present! He's happy, so I'm happy. Autopsy influences his own band and this format is a great addition to his collection of CDs and LPs.

If you like your extreme metal edgy
If you like your extreme metal edgy, guttural and with an uneasy edge in places, then you will love this. It is a brilliant album and my kids have even started headbanging to it in the car, there can be no greater compliment !

Autopsy devo aggiungere altro?
"All Tomorrow's Funeral" non è un lavoro essenziale, ma diverte, soprattutto si rivela utile il fatto che contenga tutto ciò che Reifert e soci han prodotto in ep, così se uno volesse evitare gli acquisti singoli, avrebbe questa comoda e piacevole compilazione da poter tenere a mente in qualità d'acquisto. Per fan? Anche sì, ma gli Autopsy, almeno per il sottoscritto, non bastano mai.
