Works great, lots of magnfication, but can get lost too easily and difficult to handle
I don't know if I should say 2 or 3 stars. This product is great, except that it's so small that it can get lost very easily and can be somewhat difficult to use unless you are very careful. For $14.99, there should be more to it, such as maybe a more secure way to attach it, such as using a clip, that way it would be less difficult to lose. The magnification is outstanding and in some situations is overkill. I'm not sure about the optical quality; I've wanted to use it on a better phone as mine is only 5 megapixels, unfortunately, I've lost it and haven't found it for a long time...

Not bad optics for a few bucks. Could come in handy as a loupe
$10 for a bit of fun? Why not?Get to know the little world. This thing can be a bit of fun. The zoom works great. Take the 5 seconds to read the tips on the piece of cardboard they send you. Using the case as a stand on the phone is definitely helpful. I dunno how I'm gonna clean this thing though, but I guess I'll figure it out as I go. It can be a bit hard to know if you got the right spot (or maybe that's just me?).It could come in handy as like a jewelers loupe, or a really good magnify glass. It really magnifies things (see pics). The optics aren't fantastic by any means but for the price you pay you really get a good deal. For something with similar magnification ability, you are probably paying more than you would for this.Nonetheless, for the price you pay and the potential great tool and sciency, nerdy, inner geek comes out of you, this thing is worth it. Check out the pictures of my Patriot Stellar Flash Drive , first photo is with the regular camera, and the 2nd is of the same camera with the Cell Focus Lens. // Shot with my Pixel XL phone. Note: you do have to get really close for this thing to work properly. Probably less than 1 - 1.5 inches away from your object you are trying to view. Why 4/5?It wasn't easy to attach to a camera perfectly, and no real way to know if the fit is optimal. Regardless, for what you pay and the magnification you can get for something similar would be much higher in costs. The item feels sticky on both sides, making cleaning the lens harder as it can attract dirt pretty easy (the lens itself has a sticky feel all over).Regardless, this is cheap, a fun good toy, and overall I really liked it. I don't know how long this thing will survive and if it'll work with future phones, but for $10, eh why not have some fun with it for now?

works fine for the price if you handle carefully
I bought this out of curiosity. I have a Moto G 3rd gen phone in a plastic case. This lens handles like a scrap booking dot and I find it easiest to pick it up with a micro-cloth and nails so I can center it over the phone camera eye which is a larger target. It sticks well enough unless knocked from the side.It takes a little practice of guesstimating where the camera eye is to get a decent focus on what you want to look at. I did smoosh the soft silicone lens right down on top of things I was looking at if I was not careful, because the camera body blocks the light source if it's not at the right angle/lighting. The lens does work if you are willing to work with it.The lens would be very easy to lose, so I put it on and take it off over a piece of paper or the carrying cap and hope it does not bounce. If I was carrying it around in the garden I would prefer if it were it seated/sewn in a clear watchband strap/rubber band like arrangement to hold/arrange it to the phone easily and securely.

Not so much...
Meh. Doesn't really focus that well. Had better luck with a clip on lens. Main issue is that it depends on sticking to your phone lens like a bugger - & sometimes falls off. If you're planning to take photos outside, expect to be digging around in the grass trying to find something about the size of a contact lens.

Well Worth It
A friend recommended this after supporting the Kickstarter and gave it raving reviews, which is why I was surprised to see so many bad reviews here. The two main issues people seem to be having I'm fairly sure are operator error. The focus issue, for example. I haven't had any issues with this, so I wouldn't be surprised if people just weren't getting close enough. You have to be about a centimeter away to get a good focus. That's why they recommend using the little case as a rest for your phone, since it's just under a cm wide. The issue about the lense falling off I only kind of understand. They do say to make sure that both the lense and camera are clean before applying it. If you've done that and you're still having issues, my guess is you're pressing to hard. I barely press it on, and when I press to hard, it pops right off. The first time I used it I forgot it was on there and didn't notice till the next morning, when it was still on. So either you got a bad lense or you're doing it wrong. This little guy is super convenient, fits in my purse or pocket, and makes a great conversation piece. I'm also now the favorite aunt as my 5 year old nephew now greets me with "Can I play with your microphone?" And spends most of my visits staring at the wall or the carpet or the couch cushions. Which all look pretty cool magnified 15 times. I imagine teachers could do a lot woth these in a classroom.Overall I think this thing is well worth the money and would give the same rave reviews that I heard when I learned about it.

Meh....
It's a cute device to play around with and while it works, it didn't seem to give magnificent pictures for me and ultimately for the price it's a rip-off. I would only buy it again if it were around $5 or less. Don't waste your hard earned cash.

Package was empty
I didn't open it but waited. When I finally did it was empty. Probably too late for a refund. What a rip.
