Great little M.2 enclosure
This was easy to install an M.2 in and it seems to work very well. Applying the thermal pad is a little fiddly but worked fine. The performance seems good and I can feel that it's doing a decent job of radiating heat from the drive. At first I thought it hadn't been supplied with anything to hold the M.2 in place but there was a little plastic stud hiding in the packaging. So don't expect a metal screw.I'm sure there are better/faster/fancier enclosures available but this is fine for general use.

May need to be manually mounted.
I bought this because I was swapping out my old NvME to a larger one, and needed to clone, first. That went well, but not using this enclosure. I have another, which automatically mounts as an external drive, but this one simply doesn't. It needs to be mounted manually.Once mounted, it works just fine, and is well made, the case doubling up as a heatsink to keep the drive cool. Well made, and not altogether unpleasant in appearance.Recommended if you don't mind manually mounting.

Works perfectly.
Unlike my last Orico enclosure that I bought, this one is much better. This one is mostly plastic, with the top heatsink being made of metal, presumably aluminium. It uses Realtek's RTL2910B-G chipset.Installing the SSD is simple - unscrew the heatsink, put the rubber screw replacement in the SSD's screw cutout, then push it down so it holds in place. After this, slap the thermal pad on top of the SSD (make sure it's properly aligned with the controller and flash, this is easy) and push the heatsink down onto it, then screw the heatsink on.It seems to dissipate the heat effectively, as the SSD survived my torture test of copying 106GB of files to it with no breaks. Idling it seemed to sit at 47 degrees Celsius according to SMART data - not bad going for a tiny heatsink that's got no fan assistance. It's a 10Gbps USB-C enclosure so it can somewhat take advantage of the speeds of NVMe SSDs, but it's definitely more suited to models that can't sustain very high write speeds. I paired this one with a 500GB Kingston NV2 and it's worked perfectly.Overall, this is a good buy. I'm not sure if the issue of having two of the same enclosure on one system still exists (on Linux it will bug out if two drives have the same serial number) but if you're just getting one, it'll work perfectly fine for lower end NVMe SSDs.Wouldn't comment on the capability of it to cool higher performance models, though. Maybe get a better enclosure if you've got something like a Samsung 990 Pro.

Nice product-works reliably for me at half speed
I use this for backups with a 1Tb SSD that was previously in my laptop as I upgraded the laptop storage to 2Tb SSD. My laptop has two main drive partitions and I use this to backup the system partition. I am using this at half its capable speed due to my 5 year old laptop.

Excellent value
Used with a 1Tb drive - well built and runs cool. Glad I chose this.

Does not work with B+M key drives
Does not work with B+M key drive as stated, only M Key drive. A disk is detected in Windows 10 Drive Management but fails to initialise constantly. 2 drives, 2 caddies, 2 laptops, same issue. ELUTENG USB 3.2 10Gbps caddy does work with B+M key drives, but is more expensive and listed as only supporting up to 1TB drives.

Failed after a month, received refund
This enclosure failed after a month of use as an Apple TimeMachine backup. Hard to say if it was the enclosure's fault or the SSD's, but one of them failed and took the other down with it so both are now toast. To be fair, Orico refunded the enclosure, so no complaints on that score.

Great device to bring use back to low storage NVMEs
This M.2 NVME Enclosure from ORICO is a great little pickup for the money, I have recently upgraded my NVME storage and had a fully working NVME I didn't have a use for. This funnily came up on my recommendation after looking for Sata SSD enclosures - and for the price, I thought I'd give it a go!I was really pleased that the enclosure itself is USB-C; however, it is supplied with 2 cables, 'USB-C to USB-C' and 'USB-C to USB-B', so it allows you to use this on many devices compared to standard USB drives.Inside the enclosure, there is a rubber mount for the NVME that I dislike, as this easily comes off during installation/removal; this is redeemed by the fact ORICO include a thermal pad for the NVME, and the top case acts as a natural heat sink so the whole this stays cool while in use.
